SCAR would already have a tentative agreement in place with Herman but this is us....

No. When the news came out, the AD indicated he had known for 17 days. So, around October 23?

I think someone is lying. He has know for sometime. I thought GP even said so. If GP just told him then that means he had originally not planned to retire but the events of late pushed him out.

I thought Pinkel decided to retire at the end of the season after getting the PET scan results on 10/27 or so. Told Rhodes next day. Rhodes knew he was sick, and wouldn't coach many more years, but didn't know for sure he would retire after this season until after the PET scan results.

I think that may not be exactly what he said. According to some people, he started interviewing people this week.

I sure hope so. Waiting until after the season would be foolish.
