Who in the hell announces an announcement if it's just to re-open your recruitment. Well, besides someone like Ezekiel Elliott. He'd do that sort of thing.

But seriously, if leaving, he'd just say so right away so that he could start talking to coaches right away.

As reedus said, you dont wait around to announce a release, You're just wasting everyone's including your own time.

But you can still decommit whenever. Sure, maybe teams cant talk to you during this time, but at least they are aware of the situation.

It's a recruiting dead period so he's not wasting any time by waiting to announce to leave.

I personally don't see why someone would wait just to announce they're staying where they're at.

He's leaving IMO

Perhaps he's waiting to see if he will be recruited over?....

I agree with ZB as Baker has an additional (*) and as a former QM recruit I can assume coach has already evaluated and found him to be the type of player who fits his scheme/style. And now that I feel more comfortable with my optimism, I would also prefer Harris and or Smith over Roberts if it became a matter of scholarship availabilty. Not to degrade Roberts who projects to have a chance at being a solid college player but now being caught up in the swhirl of optimism if given a choice I would like to go with the player(s) with a higher ceiling. If we are not able to land said player(s) I would in no way very disappointed in landing a player such as Roberts.

Baker is more of a 2. Roberts and Smith are both combo guards. Harris is more of a true point.
