Update:
Jackie Shipp has not been hired by Mizzou. It is possible he will be but per excellent sources reports that he is headed to Mizzou are premature.

Tons of smoke coming from the ASU side that he's already taken the job. I know Gabe is doing his due diligence, but it seems obvious that we hired him. Another Oklahoma guy who coached at CMSU once upon a time and coaches lots of top notch DL at OU. Hopefully he can bring a guy or two with him, and should help lock down Williams.

In cases like this, National Signing Day could likely be having an impact on the official announcement/confirmation.

Williams is definitely safe. Schipp has 2 other recruits. But they are JUCO guys and have signed LOIs back in december.

That is an excellent hire especially at this point in the game.
Has a long pedigree as a DL coach. Has been named a top 25 recruiter a few times by Rivals.
BO goes in and takes ASU's DL coach on the eve of signing day. Lol, he give no fricks.

This year is about hiring the right staff. The next few years we can get back to worrying about recruiting. I wasn't all that stoked about the Odom hire. But his hires seem really solid.

Mizzou is freaking loaded with this coaching staff. 2017 recruiting will be killer.

Agree. On Paper the assistant hirings look solid.
Didn't expect much in recruiting this year. Next should be much better..

Waiting for this kid D. Subtyl to announce he decommitted from ASU. He's a JUCO DE that Shipp recruited. Shipp was so good the kid didn't take any other visits despite a long list of impressive offers. Let's hope he wants to follow Shipp to Mizzou. I think that would mean McWilliams gets processed tho.

I guess I spoke too soon about Odom. I was in total panic mode after Chris Wilson just up and left in the middle of the night.
