David Steward is resigning...just days after Yvonne Sparks resigned (after being appointed just weeks before)....and Ann Covington resigned during the protests.

3 open spots on the Board. Out of 9.

This is an interesting area where sports and politics intersect.

Gov Nixon will definitely be busy in making appointments.

He appointed all of them and they appear to be unable to find their a-hole with both hands as a collective group.

So........

You'd think it couldn't get worse. But we thought that with basketball.

So I'm predicting some clown shoe appointments.

Same governor that played with the B1G.

Same governor that protected Ferguson.

Same governor that mergered the Water Patrol into the MO Hwy Patrol.

Same governor that appointed these three "outstanding" ex-Curators.

Here we go again with the same governor. I'll say it until my mouth bleeds...it always starts at the top. Missourah and Mizzou will struggle until there is strong leadership at all levels.

That's what you get when someone from DeSoto ends up running anything.

The sad fact is that he is a Mizzou grad.

I really don't care where the gov' is from.

I do care about their political party. Says a lot to me.

This entire year from athletics to academics has been alarming and has given our rivals and others in the SEC all kinds of ammo against us. With so many people leaving it is alarming to say the least.

There is a safeguard against any political party.

"The board has nine members and a student representative. No more than five members can be from the same political party. Sparks is a Democrat, and Covington was appointed as an Independent.

With Steward’s resignation, Nixon has one Democratic seat to fill and two seats that must be filled by Republicans or Independents."

Eh, who cares about the ammo, it was an all around awful year for the state in General with anything sports/mizzou related. Other than the Royals that is.

The damage inflicted upon ourselves is far worse than anything a rival coach could possibly whisper in a recruits ear.

There isn't exactly anything they can tell them that the kid isn't already aware of/considering.
