I said 6-6 in the official prediction, and I'm still there.

After putting myself through the pain of rewatching the game, I actually felt better. We had a lot of opportunities in that game, and just didn't cash them in. A lot of our problems were things that we didn't execute and those things can be fixed. Not saying they will, but they can.

Also, after watching week 1 the SEC looks pretty weak. Especially the East. The only team left on our schedule that looked impressive was UGA. Now, same theory applies to them in that they can also improve but the majority of these teams look to have plenty of issues themselves.

So I'm sticking with 6-6 and looking for wiBO to have us playing cleaner football as the year goes on.

I agree 6-6. Wins in the 3 noncon games left. Also USCe, Kentucky, Vanderbilt are all very winnable.
Florida, LSU, Arkansas, & Tennessee all looked to have issues as well.

WVU really advantage of the times that Scherer was out of the game running the ball. They took the ball right at Garrett and he never found he way through traffic to the ball.

I'd like to see more Terez Hall and less Joey Burkett as well.

I'd like to see Penton, Sherrils, or a backup safety as the nickelback.
Newsome is super athletic, but he's still a LB. Not a good matchup with a slot receiver.

7 wins. We get better each week and finish strong.

West Virginia wins the Big 12 and reaches the playoffs. Everyone looks back and admits that Missouri faced a much tougher opponent in WV than people first gave us credit for.

462 yards if total offense, shows they can move the ball.

Bad drops by the receivers.... I think Huepel over coached at times, killing momentum with bad calls, and ill timed substitutions.

As far as the D goes........ Like most, I was worried about this going into the season..... Loss of key players, new defensive coaches, etc.... I think this was the worst they've looked in several years.... I'm sure BO is all over this.

I've said for awhile I'd be happy with 6-6.... That hasn't changed.

Now they need to go and blowout EMU.

6-6. Never thought we would beat WVU, so nothing has changed.

I still haven't changed either. I can see from 3 to 7 wins. The only possibility that obviously came off the table is the chance for 9 wins or so. I still just have no idea. Until we start scoring in the 20's routinely, I just can't predict a solid 7 wins.

8-3 if two things happen.
First off let the DL go back to aggressive line play. Cause disruption in the backfield and let theLB's finish it off.

Second this offense needs to learn how to score touchdowns again. Instead of putting pressure on a Freshman place kicker let's go on fourth down when we are in the red zone and score some touchdowns!! If less than 5 yards go for it.

I don't see shipp changing his defensive strategy until we get a beat down from lsu and uga.

We had enough bright spots against a solid team to make me think 7-5 is possible. Other than uga, everyone one on the schedule looks beatable. Maybe we can get to 9-3 with a lot of luck.

Well, I AM from Missouri, so "Show-Me".

I could see this team going 2-10. The 2 wins being Del State and Vandy.

I really hope I am wrong. What I'm not seeing is that "spark", the enthusiasm, the QB chewing out a WR for dropping a catchable ball. They looked lackadaisical.

5-7
Keep personal expectations low.

I'm worried the coaching staff may feel similarly.

7-5, was 8-4.

I believe things just weren't aligned in the universe for us on Saturday.

With a few things going different we win that game handedly.

I believe if we had a game or two vs cupcakes before playing wvu we'd eliminate their souls by halftime.

Disappointed by the amount of 'thanks for working hard in camp' playing time that was handed out. With the proper lineup and a few corrections we should give everyone on our schedule a tough game.

Teams generally look lackadaisical when they are making mistakes. Did you see Pendleton jump Crockett on that fumble? I also saw Lock getting on the WR a time or two.

They played hard, they just made too many mistakes.

I don't doubt they played hard but that tempo almost seemed too fast for the OL to get a real push on runs. I like the up tempo (when it's working) but it almost seemed like the OL was on their heels at times when the ball was snapped, not through their fault but just because of the pace. Having said that, I thought relative to last year they did a fine job.

Just saw a stat. We are easily the fastest team in the nation on offense. The Baylor influence is real.

Lock can play, and he's a good fit for this system. The offense is going to be quite productive in time.

The line certainly had it's issues but Cross's LB's were out of position on several of WVU longest gains on the ground. On the first TD run after the PI penalty, Garrett went out over the slot when Hall was already outside with a deep safety and a corner blitz on the short side. No way that the Cross wanted his MLB on the field side slot with that call on. They rolled over Lee and walked into the endzone. Burkett was out of position on multiple plays as well. Hall had one more tackle than Burkett and was on the far less. All but one of WVU's plays on the first drive of the 3rd qtr were on Burkett's read and he missed them all. I think he plays soft and would rather live with a few of Hall's mistakes than watch Burkett whiff and get swallowed up by blockers.

The announcer on the game said that you could see the Baylor influence on the wide receivers split formations that Mizzou was using in the second half, but then said that we didn't have the wr speed that Baylor has.

As many passes as the wrs dropped Lock missed a wide open Mason who had beat his man deep under threw the pass(it would have been 6) and Mason had to come back to stop the defender from intercepting the pass. That pass to Moore down the left sidelines were Moore had his man beat for 6, he had to stop and wait on the ball and then he was tackled.
