Good stuff. The kid from Chaminade is smart as hell. He will be a baller in the SEC!

Seemed like a good group of kids. Comfortable together. If I tried to do an amateur job of reading body language, I'd say Thompson isn't likely to happen.

Bottom line...gotta win some games this year.

Makes sense. If they are not improving, we can't help them

Why? Don't let the pump squad scare you off lol.

Believe it or not... It's OK to say something sucks, when it sucks... Just like it is to Go RAH RAH RAH. lol

Obviously BO has to show something this year..... Who cares if Missouri has 20 top players instate... If the Tigers don't win, they will play elsewhere... It really is as simple as that.

Here's hoping BO turns it around, so we can start landing top instate talent again.

So impressed with Trevor Trout. I don't feel like we're out with any of them, thompson seems a bit soft spoken.

It seems like they're all going to wait to decide. If we start 3-0 or even 4-0 with winning all 4 september home games, there might be some early commitments.

If we don't make a bowl, we would probably only get perkins.

trout really wants to come here. 4-0 is a really tall order but if they can get to 8 wins they should be fine. Big year for BO and staff.

Trout is probably the key. He seems to be the leader of the group. He, Foster, & Ballard could recruit the others.

Thanks SemperFi! It,s nice to know you've got my 6. I am just trying to avoid piling on repeatedly this early as I have been pretty clear on my BO position and our overall recruiting prospects.

Thanks again. Huh Rah

P.S. Despite what some may think of my steadfast opinion, I truly do sincerely hope to be proven wrong.

Even though I have already posted this same topic, I'm going to ask it again. Where's Babb?

Mario Goodrich

Trending: Stock up

The Skinny: Nebraska really could not be in a better position than they currently are with Goodrich following his spring game visit. He told HuskerOnline.com that he was ready to commit and that he just needed to talk things over with his family some more before doing so. He's squarely on the "commit watch" list.

Story: Goodrich next to pull the trigger?

Babb is staying really quiet but seems to be looking at MI or tOSU.

Goodrich is going to Nebraska. Who voluntarily goes to Nebraska?

Damnit Cou you have pulled me back into the reality Mafia ala The Godfather. Was really trying to stay out but now it seems inevitable.

To answer your rhetorical question; A recruit with options who observed a first time HC in the midst of a crappy season whose answer to a particular crappy game was a "koomby yah" juvenile stunt of having his players interlock their arms heading off the field to halftime and their participation juice boxes.

This was the time BO totally and some would say emphatically lost me and what little hope I had for the unproven to date HC.

JQ, I apologize in advance but at least you now have a better insight as to why I have the opinion I do regarding the state of and prospective immediate future of my/our FB program.

P.S. Fans/People may differ in how they deal with disappointment/grief/frustration but please understand that my passionate albeit what some would call a "Debbie downer" opinion/post comes from a very long held caring for MU athletics and their success.

Maybe they have a better image in kc than everywhere else or they pay their players but they seem to steal a few from the western part of the state each year. I don't get it.

They stopped being a blue blood when they went the big 10. Ther only top 20 recruiting class was in 2011 the year they joined. They've only made it to the big 10 championship once and only one 10 win season.

I'm not claimng that Mizzou is a blue blood but we are easily as good as the cornholers.

I thought Babb was for sure going to OSU but he apparently has a very good relationship with Foster.

You can hold any opinion you like. The problem comes when you repeatedly hammer home "BO sucks" in every post.

You weren't here for the LSU game. I was incredibly critical of him after that game. The loss, but even more so the conduct of the team was unacceptable. He finished fairly strong though and I like him as a coach and realize he's going to be here for awhile.

The thing is, I don't recall any props from you for Foster or Byers. Those are both good gets. Have to be balanced.

Its all good, but if you check I did say/post Byers was a good pickup especially this late. As to Foster as well as any other potential commitment that is still a long way from being legally "perfected" by a signed LOI I prefer to hold off on extending emotional capital. I certainly learned and believe others should also by the Jafar Armstrong reversal. As you may recall, he too was a solid 3* committed recruit who like Foster was vocal about his commitment to others and we all know what came of that.

As far as all of my posts bashing BO, well I can only post MY perception/analysis based on what I see and what reasonably can be inferred. The only other option would be to be apathetic and just do/say nothing. I am passionate and saying nothing is not an option. A word to the wise, if apathy ruled the day Anderson would still be leading the BB program. Let's not keep our "eyes wide shut" when it comes to our primary revenue FB program.

I will once again say I sincerely hope to be proven wrong. Sooner rather than later.

I too was dissatisfied with BO's first year. Although a semi strong finish bought him some capital IMO. I also realize he didn't walk into a "win now" situation and he's a rookie coach. Bound to be some growing pains. I like him as a coach and his substance over style demeanor is what works at a place like Mizzou.

Two other things I look at before getting too bent out of shape about a subpar first year.

1. He's going to get four years barring some kind of major disaster. Good hire, bad hire or in between he's going to get his fair shake. That has to include full support and effort from the athletic department and hopefully our fans come around but I'm not holding my breath on that one. A big year would bring back a lot, but there is still a disconnect there that simply was not his doing.

2. Winning here just isn't going to be done by flashy recruiting classes. Just don't have the infrastructure to support that at this time. So it's going to take a little more time to truly know what we have in BO. He needs to get 3-4 years down the road before his players are in place and his system is truly operating as it should be. Until that, I'll take incremental improvement as a sign things are going in the right direction.

We need to be markedly better this year. That's important for our direction and BO's tenure.

I'm supportive of BO as well and love his substance over style methodology, but his biggest mistake by far was trying to overhaul a defense that wasn't broken. No telling how many wins that cost him.

Was it his ego wanting to put the stamp of his Memphis years on this group or needlessly trying to distance himself from the previous DLineZou reputation of Craig Kuligowski rather than building on an already laid foundation? Either way, it was the exact kind of rookie mistake that cost coaches their jobs.

Otherwise he did a decent job assembling a staff and great retooling the offense. Making a bowl is a must.

Agree, and don't know anyone that is hoping the man fails.

Absolutely

Actually I thought his staff shined at times last year.

This year he needs to put what's left of his ego aside, and go back to the things that worked.

Agree a bowl with this schedule is a must.

I think we learn a lot more about BO this year.

Agree no matter what he gets 4 years
