I wonder what will happen with Chester Graves with all the ole miss news. Since he was expected to go to Juco, we might end up with him after all.

Pretty odd that he would commit to Ole Miss and then go JUCO when he was Mizzou all the way. Curious if maybe Mizzou knows the kids hopes of actually making on any campus are not very good.

Would be nice if Foster would jump on board soon. Could get some momentum rolling for this class.

Thoughts on Foster ending up a 4*? Seems like a good chance.

I think there is a pretty good chance, unless of course he commits to us soon lol.
Here is an interesting name 3* CB Jaycee Horn
Just recently moved to GA and only played 1 year of HS football.

I never seem to understand how class rankings go, but Trout is now #37 and Babb is 70 something. If we got both of them, would that almost guarantee a top 30 class?

Sad to say this but all of this "hot stove" recruiting imaginations will very likely end up ultimately as unfulfilled fantasies. However, it is human nature to daydream what it wpuld be like to win the lottery. Given current staff and circumstances a lottery win may be more likely than landing even half of top 10 in-state recruits much less top bonafide studs. Lets be realistic

It's a message board. Everyone is entitled their own opinion, including yourself. Beyond that, the other option is to just not talk about it at all.

HCBO has made a bold move in recruiting the in-states. A very positive bold move. These kids now know each other and now talk of "fantasies" of playing together.
Rolling up this bunch will be dependent of next years record. Let's go back to Blaine Gabbert. Pinkel tried desperately to get him and failed. That changed only because we had a great season and beat the school he committed to.
A losing season means the same results as we had in 1992, the last great instate class. What did we get? Two?
We get 7 wins, and I'd predict at least 5, maybe 6.
Maybe incrementally goes up with every additional win after 7.
Wins can have an avalanche effect, and HCBO has gotten these kids to get to know each other early. It works both ways. Commitments start friendships, but friendships also start commitments.

I agree with everything you are saying. A winning program will always be more conducive for recruiting (but still wondering why we could not have done better job recruiting when we had back to back SEC East championships???)_ but that's history now. To get back to your point, that brings me to the crux of my reasoned subjective opinion. It is my opinion that HCBO while being an apparent energetic and nice guy is in over his head with this, his first HC job. Whether it be his Ego or his budget he failed (my opinion) to surround himself with a strong experienced staff. Thus it is my "projection" that a losing cycle of poor recruiting/poor W/L record is likely outcome. I hate that I feel this way. I have followed and been a MU fanatic since I was a young boy listening on the radio to MU BB on radio during the early middle Norm years. Still remember Moon McCrary as well as MU FB since Onofrii left. I have ridden the recruiting highs and lows and I too have always painted thes best hopes picture in my mind. Perhaps age and the years have made me more critical but seeing what I have and what I am currently I am a little down on MU revenue sports and am trying to be mor objective so for now am doing my best to not fall into a hype trap ( once again) Please everybody, dont get it twisted, as an Alum and lifetime MU "fanatic" I will always root for and support my University including all of its sports teams. Perhaps my post is a cathartic attempt to " keep it real" and am looking to be pleasantly surprised by wins and stud recruiting than to set myself up for more disappointment. Thanks, so I guess you can rail on me now*

So, what exactly does either of your post have to do with what I said?
