Gillespie ran a 10.87 100M dash. That's pretty damn fast for a guy who weighs over 200lb. If you watch his Hudl it looks like it translates to the field very well.

Looks like we still want a QB for this class. I was interested to see where we'd go with the position.

2X State Champ, Arkansas Gatorade POY and had a MONSTER SR year. Just watched his film and he can definitely sling it.

Even though Gillespie is now committed, that is not stopping other schools from still trying to get him to join their prospective classes. Tennessee and Florida have shown some late interest and Gillespie still has one more official visit scheduled for January 27 to Florida Atlantic. FAU was in Gillespie's top four and new head coach Lane Kiffin would love to keep Gillespie in-state. But as of this weekend, Gillespie is a Tiger.

FAU doesn't concern me especially if he has aspirations of playing at the next level. Florida or Tennessee might concern me, but a commit this late may be tough to flip.

So what's left?

Zion Debose is a NSD decision we have a legitimate chance for.

Anybody know of any uncommitted visitors for this weekend?

This class may end up smaller than expected. Assuming we don't lose anybody, we are sitting at 21 commitments right now.

I don't mind this class being smaller.

I was surprised when they said they waned to max out.

Next year should have more desirable targets, plus we SHOULD be in much a better negotiating position with a great season.

I hope they don't take guys for the sake of taking them.

True, next year has to be one of the best classes for this state in a longgg time.

I like this kid a lot. He has a great arm and is a winner. Fantastic pickup for it being this late in the cycle.

For anyone who hasn't, go watch his Hudl (linked in OP). He's impressive

Unhealthy to not take a qb in every class.

But was hoping they had the balls to do it so they could really lay out the red carpet for a national recruit next year -- I don't think this really changes that anyway.

All of these guys look impressive in the highlights. Printz, Zanders.. all of em.

This is 100% about doing what's right for a healthy program -- which is getting a qb in every class.

Future depth guy. Unless we're unlucky.

Good release and anticipation in the video. Hopefully he does a little better than the last #7 MU had at QB.

I mean, you really never know until they suit up but I'm very impressed by his ability to move around in the pocket and buy time. Throws a nice deep ball and has all the arm strength you would need to flourish in our offense. Couple throws in that video were NFL throws. A slant over the LB and in front of the S with zip, and also put an opposite hash out route to the sideline on a line. Showed me all I needed to know about his arm. Add that into his history of winning and I think we did an exceptional job picking this kid up less than 2 weeks from signing day.

And on the heels of the Estes decommitment. Sounds like an upgrade.

Heupel doing work.
