Interestingly enough, Sean Smith (former Chief and South Carolina grad) threw Herman and his staff under the bus for some reason on Twitter.

Could it be Herman's switcheroo with SCar?

Had something to do with Herman/Herman's staff lying to a recruit. It all eroded into Smith trying to fight everyone on twitter. Smith was well known for squeezing guys figs in a pile when he was in the league. He could be full of shite.

Thomas has turned into quite the attention whore on twitter.
He apparently is now down to Louisville, Miami, or Oregon. No Tennessee or...wait for it....Illinois?!?!

Take it for what it's worth, Babb says mizzou has been his favorite team since he was little and always dreamed of playing there.
Without doing the math, I suspect we can thank chase jmac and others for that

There was a second part to that quote that is very important for context though.
Babb continued: "Now, in the situation I'm in, with all these schools ...I'm trying to see which school is the best option for me..."

Well of course. When I was in HS Mizzou was my favorite school, but I'd still look at everyone else.

That's pretty shocking. Still not worried about him flipping though

I don't know why a recruit wouldn't take all 5 OVs. They will probably never be wined and dined again in life in that way.

Here's an Ohio St. article on Gardiner
LINK
Another new name has also emerged out of the Lone Star State. Kemp, Texas is home to three-star wideout Elijah Gardiner, a Missouri commit since this past November. Though Gardiner resides just about three hours north of Austin, there hadn't been a lot of contact until this past week when Tom Herman extended an offer.
The Buckeyes have also been in contact with the 6-foot-5, 185-pounder, but right now it appears that they're still evaluating Gardiner and have yet to put an offer on the table. The staff has put a ton of effort into the state of Texas this cycle, and this could be another one to watch over the next few weeks.
However, I do believe they have an in home visit with him tomorrow.
