Well technically right now Mizzou is a better program this year. SLU opens about 70 spots lower in KenPom rankings.
But starting next year when all their transfer & Goodwin become eligible they might be better. 2 years from now with Gordon added to the mix SLU is a better.

I didn't really disagree. Just that Mizzou will be better than SLU this season.
SLU obviously has a much brighter future.
If the next Mizzou coach can get some of the other top Missouri recruits in 2018, then also get Leach in 2019 that could change.

Mizzou will be better this year. In fact SLU will be worse than they were last year. Based what I hear/see if SLU doesnt make the tourney in 2 years it will be a major bust. Mizzou is hoping to make the tournment in 2 years.

We're not making the tournament in two years. I see no circumstances in which that happens.

I could see a scenario if Mizzou making the tournament next year. It's unlikely, but possible.
A new coach in the spring keeps the top 3 players in each class which would be Barnett, Phillips, Puryear, Walton, Hughes, Smith, Jackson. Then keep CJ Roberts.
Do what Louisville did last year and take 2 grad transfers. 1 a high scoring Wing the other a good interior player. Would still have 3 available scholarships.
Really college hoops is probably 70% about how good a coaching staff is at recruiting. KA is obviously not great at it.

I mean that SLU's AD doesn't think the goal is to make the tournament in year two or bust.

I dont give a frick about what May thinks, i'm saying from someone who follows closely that with the group of people coming in, anything less is not acceptable. If by year 3! we dont make it, well Ford needs to be gone ASAP. Gordon most likely wont start, let alone get a ton of minutes his freshmen year.

CJ Roberts plans on signing today. He will have a signing ceremony tomorrow.
Also Felipe Haase is planning on committing either Thursday or Friday. Mizzou is among the final 4-5 schools he is considering.

I'm more convinced now that this staff has to go. A high school coach is bringing 3 recruits to the Arizona game. Tells whoever they will need 4 tickets. Staffer calls back to confirm that they have their TWO tickets reserved. Coach says it was supposed to be 4. They get it squared away.
Coach gets to the game and is told there's only 2. After waiting 15 minutes a staffer shows up and says ok we have 2 additional tickets but you coach have to pay full value. After the coach gets upset they agree to sell them at half the face value. Oh, by the way, you guys are not going to be able to sit together and will be all over the arena.
Same coach and same 3 kids then go to creighton for the Villanova game and get 4 tickets, together, right behind the creighton bench. No problems.
And these are 3 kids with P5 offers. Not 1 and done talent but legit recruits. I know KA wasn't solely responsible he it is his staffers.
