There he is folks !! The NEW leading scorer for Festus High School ! Kamau Kinder!!! 1571 points as of now !

I'm guessing if it was good enough to get CVL, it's good enough to get this guy.

Mitchel Smith is also his school's all-time scoring leader.

I watched some of Kamau's tape just now. We should offer. He has a release that he may not get off a shot against D1 schools. But I did see one of my friend's kids in the tape... So free bonus.

I think Isabell is a cancer to this team to be honest. He has a terrible attitude and doesn't have any clue how to move the ball. He also pouts in timeouts, I just really dislike the kids body language on and off the court. I know I've been a supporter of KA, but I don't get the minutes for Isabell. I'd rather see VAnLeer and Walton getting them, but he sees Isabell as the 3rd point I guess...VanLeer has a basketball IQ, you can just tell with the way he cuts and moves without the basketball. I'm looking forward to him getting his stroke going in the future and proving folks wrong. Sometimes in these games where we get down early he's the only hope we have of getting out of that hole. Sorry for the tangent, back to recruiting I think Jackson can and will come in and contribute. He's got a college ready body. Besides Isabell I guess it's anybody's guess as to who leaves. Allen would surprise me a bit because he wasn't much of a scorer in High school. A role player position has always seemed his destiny in my eyes. I do like his energy. Maybe Gant, hopefully not. I'd like to see him progress over 4 years and see what he becomes as a player. Namon I would think would be happy with his minutes and his lack of hitting shots is part of the reason this team has struggled at times this year.

I agree about Isabell. I think we have seen some progression with Gant. I just don't see CVL being successful without 3 or more threats on the court. He's just not the athlete most are at this level but if you get enough around him that are true threats he can camp out in open spots.

CVL does have good basketball IQ
You can see that

He just doesn't have the wheels to compete at this level.

CVL can compete in his role. That is to be a spacer/spot up shooter.

The problem is that there is no one on the offense capable of drawing in the defense. This is forcing CVL to rush his shot. He needs to practice getting his shot off quicker.

He's a major liability on defense right now too, hopefully that can improve. We "know" he can shoot, but he needs to show it more. He's missed a bunch of wide open 3's too, a few were air balls, which has got to be confidence.

Are we recruiting any point guards? Sure seems like we should be if not.

ROCKMNATION

Good write up on where Mizzou stands in recruiting. Hasanni Gravett is a JUCO combo guard, but doesn't have an offer yet. There are 2 other guard targets Corprew the primary target, and Moore a 6'4 lefty from Arkansas a backup for roster turnover/missing on Corprew.

No offe yet for him, but probably has 1 coming. Kid is getting lots of attention. Combo guard.

Also Jerod Ridder a 6'7 wing is visiting Mizzou this weekend. A 2017 recruit, probably a backup option to Porter.

Bossi said on PM he's more of a 6'2 SF than a PG, and he was a one time UNC football commit. Maybe if he works on his game more he'll develop into a SG/PG role.

Yea he's a super athlete. Probably similar to Walton in athleticism. Recently gave up football to focus on basketball. Probably not a major contributor his freshman season.

Ridder will see his recruitment blow up this spring. He's not a great athlete but is a very very good shooter. Quick release. Right now it's mid-majors Mizzou and Wichita State looking at him.

Updated info on the top 2 targets for Mizzou this spring. Both are top 150 level players.

Guess this kid is visiting today, 2.05m tall (I think that's like 6'8) Spanish kid.

Video

Looks like we're really grasping for straws here guys. Kid is super skinny and doesn't seem to be a very good basketball player if I'm honest.

He visited A&M the beginning of the week. He finishes up got to Wake Forest. Also has a pro offer in Spain.

Only averages 3 & 2 for his club team.

I saw that, and watched the kids tape. Hilarious

It's like the fat kid that puts out the mix tapes.
