Home opener victory!
Having Wainwright and Wacha on the same team is like having SRV and Hendrix in the same band.
Enjoy these times boys and girls..

I just don't see any extended losing streaks when you have those 2 guys.

And in typical Lynn fashion, he pitches 6 innings and gives up 5 runs but avoids a loss. I'll take a win any way we can get it, but talk about a guy who benefits from run support.

And any objections to un-stickying this thread?

Miller shoulda been traded this offseason while his stock was high.
Guy is a bust. Mark it down.

I'm starting to see what you're seeing.
He's still not as frustrating as Lynn, close, but not quite.

Yup. Hitters have figured him out, I was high on him last year, its a shame.

I think the Brewers are good.
Just an observation.

Agree.
Have been thinking this since the Garza singing.
Outfield is very good. Gomez is underrated in CF, Bruan of course, and that rookie in LF has some pop.
Lucroy is underrated. That SS was a steal from the Angels, ARam still has it, they have a couple options at 2nd base.
I don't know much about their bullpen, but seems to be okay.
The only thing about the Brewers is I don't see them doing things the right way. They seem to be patching together a team that can compete year after year, making dumb moves like giving up a draft pick to sign a 33 year old Kyle Lohse. They don't scare me in the long term because I don't see them building for sustained success, but they're good this year.

Bradford Pears are blooming in MO, it's mid 70s, and we've got Card-cubs for a weekend series.
Happy Friday, all.

Or Bourjos steal, I'll take that.

Obligatory Cubs are beating the Cards post.
Fully expect to lose now.

This Olt guy is good.
Cubs have some legit talent. Rizzo looks a lot better this year.
Strop looked absolutely filthy.

I'd bean Braun first pitch tonight.

Nice job by Lynn tonight. Stayed focused all night, and avoided his usual pitfalls.
Nice to kill that Brew Crew win streak as well.
