As in National League? It's the only real baseball left. Frickin DH. I mean, why even have managers in the AL?

I've never seen a Major League offense as bad as the Royals, you could pick guys up off the street that would do a better job. lol

Wong scores from first on a double by Holliday. Cards lead 4-3.

Still not sold on the middle relief. The back end of the rotation will hinge on those guys.

Me neither. Will be big if Motte can be effective.

I'm not understanding the love affair with Neshek.

Yep. That guy seems to throw sliders that just spin up in the zone.

I think that experiment isn't going to last long.

Deja vu.

Wacha: 0.00 ERA after having given up 0 runs in 6.2. His record? 0-0.

Lynn: 5.40 ERA after having given up 3 runs in 5. His record? 1-0.

Very fortunate to take 2 out of 3 against Dreads.

This bullpen is missing something.

There's Rosie and CMart, and then a vacuum.

Anyone else think Bourjos looks like he just learned to swing right handed?

Guy looks like he's a natural lefty this is experimenting with hitting right handed.

He's in a funk.

I saw a lot of him in Anaheim, he should hit eventually.

He does have a child like swing though.

Bully pitched well tonight. My fears are averted for the time being.

I'll take your word that he'll be fine, since you've seen him play a bunch.

He was a fan favorite here.

Hurt a lot though.

He's probably pressing, same for Peralta. Switching leagues probably doesn't help either.

I have been a major supporter of Bourjos in the mlb thread on the OT, his numbers in his first and only full season are pretty impressive, and I figured he could improve on them and be a .280+ hitter with lots of extra base hits.

But that swing is just painful to watch, I'm guessing it's not helping that he's pressing.. But like I said, I'll take your word, it's early.. I will hold off judgement.
