Starting to circulate that he left for aTm. What the hell is going on?

What the frick?

I was on there just before I came here and the last thing Paul said was that he didn't think there was any chance it happened. My god. I can't do anything but laugh. This is fricking ridiculous.

Makes no sense on the lateral move...at least we didn't lose any offense staff this off season (Sallach, Hev)

This was a step down for Turner. No way to even say it was a lateral move.

I don't even know who's coaching defense anymore.

It makes plenty of sense, he saw he wasn't going to move up here. If was ever going to happen we would have bumped him to DC.

Well, on the bright side, none of the guys who resulted in underachieving defense the last few seasons.

I wonder if we hire a replacement or fill it with somebody already on the staff?

He was just promoted...you think he'll move up at aTm with Chavis at DC?

Heck, he might make DC or interim HC before the 2016 season ends at A&M.

Time to hire some cheap up and comer

God forbid we actually splurge on a good well known coach.

I'm wondering if anybody is hired or if Haneline just slides into the position? Seemed like more hires were made than there were vacancies at the time.

I've never thought highly of Chavis. Tennesse fans didn't like him. LSU fans were mixed. He was fortunate to have unreal talent to work with at LSU. Chavis hasn't done anything noteworthy at A&M. So yeah, Turner may get a shot there.

Given Sumlin's issues, I'm not sure he could be in a position to save his job by firing Chavis, so that's a big gamble if that's his line of thinking. On the flip side, an interesting dynamic if Turner works for Chavis and is hoping he gets fired so he can get his job. Either way, it will be fun to watch how A&M's season plays out.

I really think there's a good chance Sumlin isn't coaching A&M by the time they come to Starkville in early November.

This very thing is what blows my mind about him going to A&M
