I saw talk of Hopson on the news this a.m. Than saw where Mullen denied it. Then saw one report saying Hopson is a candidate for the USM job. I suppose if Hopson jumps to either place Hughes would be a happy man. Would make his job at JSU easier.

I think its Linguist for the on the field coaching spot and Shorter to take over for Sleepy's old spot. I like the second hire for sure. He knows a ton of folks in Ms.

I'm hoping Linguist has some connections in TX and the Midwest and can help us there.

Yeah that's exactly my thoughts. I hope we can start pulling in a few out of states in the future with the new hires that we have now.

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State continued to revamp its staff on Tuesday with three additions.
Callaway coach Patrick Austin will join the program as a recruiting specialist, sources told The Clarion-Ledger. Austin will be joined by Copiah-Lincoln Community College running backs coach Rod Gibson, sources confirmed. The former MSU running back will also work as a recruiting specialist. Varsitypreps.com first reported the move.
The school also announced the return of John Haneline, who coached the linebackers in the 2014 Orange Bowl in Geoff Collins' absence. Haneline will work as a defensive quality control assistant.
Austin, who spent the past two seasons at Callaway, fills a vacancy left by Sleepy Robinson, who accepted a position with Jackson State last month.
