What is with the hate for Genespage here?

Just wondering. Is it Steve Robertson or gene that everyone dislikes?

It's not just here. It's everywhere but genespage. I've never had a problem with Rosebowl's reports, since I have started reading his stuff a little. He seems to be pretty naiive about Devinner though. What a chode. And most of his readers are blind homer followers because they think he's a "good guy."

I like getting his input just because he is conservative in what he reports and I he says it it is probably true.

Yeah that was pretty much what I was saying. Someone needs to give the run-down on what stupid shite he has said that makes them lol at his comments.

I like the guy on 24/7 he and Steve seem to tell it like it is but I have heard some stupid things from Steve once or twice

Personally, I think it is due to censorship. Most of the threads here would be deleted due to language.

He wrote a piece on how State could make it to the rose bowl in 2001. It was site of the NC game that year. It wasn't a bad piece objectively stating reasons what state had to do to go undefeated and make it to the rose bowl. Sure it was a little homerism to it. ole miss fans and anti gene pagers ran with it and saying he was predicting a national championship. It stuck. Especially after we shite the bed that year.

No we were cursed for a decade because we fired the Demi-god who is Jackie sherrill. Thankfully he spared us and we are once again in his good graces.

Oh yeah. Pretty much every rag had us winning the west. I blame al qaeda.
We did lose some close games that year and to this day, we got royally screwed by the refs against BYU. I'm talking real horseshite calls worse than the arky/UF game a few years ago. I still cannot pinpoint exactly how the wheels came off that bad.

Sherrill was fading as our leader and Lord. A change was needed as our leadership became more corrupt and victories became rare.
We then suffered through the Dark Ages (pun intended), and have now found Lord Merlins to lead us down the righteous path to victory.

Guess time forgives but Jackie was also the reason we were in that mess. I think he started to let the inmates run the asylum. He had the NCAA on him, his mother died, his wife was battling cancer, if I recall correctly. He had his plate full besides coaching and then he fires Joe Lee and brught in Ron Cooper. That was the worst defense I can remember. I'm glad that's over.
And if you dont' think the NCAA being on our case is no big deal, it can be to a school like State. We're just fortunate ole miss sucks right now.
