I figured we would look much improved this year with year 2 of Howland.

Until he does otherwise, I expect us to follow the trend he's set everywhere else he's been. Poor in year one, slightly better or the same in year two, win 30 games in year three.

It takes a while to rebuild unless you bring in lotto guys like Kentucky. Combine that with some bad luck - Malik not panning out and Q's injury.

When Lamar Peters sleeps in and misses the game, I think there are issues with these kids growing up.
I have some faith. Last year's crew could not play man defense at the start of the season. Before the year was over, they weren't bad on D.
Howland has got to teach these guys to play team ball. Most of them are just looking to create their own shot.

During last nights game they showed that we are the 2nd youngest team in the NCAA.

On a positive note, they are leading the SEC in FT shooting.

I'd say this is more of a "year 1" than last year. Basically turned over a brand new team with a lot of freshman. Just with any freshmen, they'll do some growing throughout the season.

Saw on a tweet last night that it is "possible" that Q will play again this year. There was no indication when this might be.

Saw him yesterday in the union with a light wrist brace on his non-shooting hand. I expect him to play again soon

We have the 2nd youngest team in the country. We will improve as the season goes on. Next year is (and has always been) when we start to make noise.

This. The talent is there but its just so young. Look for a big improvement next year.

Maybe after Howland gets done fricking up our program with all this talent we can get Stansbury to come back and coach them up.
