So what in the heck are y'all gonna do about Mullen? I've said this for some time now, but I really don't think he's that great of a coach. I think y'all need a coach that can recruit his arse off and couple that with good coordinaters. I wouldn't fire him this year but if y'all only win 1-2 more this season someone needs to take a hard look at where this program is heading.

What are other options at QB? Is Williams really that bad to not start over Fitz? I just don't think Fitz is getting the job done he clearly struggles with progressions and decision making.

I already know about yalls struggles in the defensive backfield but a lot of that can be contributed to injuries. What are your thoughts on Peters so far?

Lastly what do y'all think about Leo Lewis? I really wanted him at LSU, he was a great prospect. He took a redshirt last year which makes sense, y'all had a great LB core the past few years.

So you want us to get a Leslie Miles type coach?

Our troubles on defense can be attributed to a D-coordinator who's in over his head and only got hired b/c our HC had to find a replacement last second. In the past, we've always just bumped up an assistant coach already in place and hired a position coach. With the way our defensive positions have been playing, I see why he gambled on Sirmon.

So do you blame Mullen or Manny for that?

I don't know Manny's contract specifics but given his record of jumping around from job to job, you'd think Mullen would have been prepared for this.

I don't mean any disrespect by any of my posts, I don't mind State, for a few years I even cheered for them. I still do from time to time, I like talking State sports more than I do Ole Miss and I go there.

Yeah, you could use a "Leslie Miles" coach.

I don't think the defensive situation is the fault of anyone specific. Just an unfortunate situation of complete turnover. Some of it wasn't necessarily unwelcomed, most of us felt the previous staff wasn't cutting it either.

Offensively, and really the team as a whole, just needs someone to take the leadership void that was left when Dak left. A lot of us feel that may be Tiano, we will see how quickly he gets transitioned going forward. Getting cleanup duty Saturday was a pretty clear indication that he is going to be getting more snaps, and I suspect it happens with a lot more urgency than was intended, he is now the QB2 and the future at the position.

I didn't know about this Tiano guy....Fitz is just a horrendous passer, his receivers didn't make him look any better though last Saturday. I think Fitz is great on the ground but you have to be able to throw the football to survive in the SEC. I also think some of your offensive woes are coming from not having a real #1 back. Holiday is wayyyy to small to be running up the middle and Shumpert is just meh all around.

Also your line is getting wrecked...so that doesn't help any of the above

Im sorry but is that why he's still coaching at LSU? No, thanks he's not doing that at MSU and anybody with a lick of sense can see that.

Right now, Dan is stuck with a QB from all accounts that is more interested in frat staring and chasing skirts than developing as a qb that the team respects and the qb the team likes but just doesn't possess the physical attributes. Tiano from what I saw is still green. 2 mishandled snaps and 5 yd throw in garbage time.

On offense, the OL has been the biggest factor. No way state can compete until that is fixed.

BTW, we are e-buds. Like I told you... I mean your brother, I only frick with mi amigos.

Didn't realize Tiano was bumped to no.2. Maybe there's hope after all.

I mean he accomplished great things at LSU, I'm not saying to hire an offensively illiterate coach. I just think that it may be time to look elsewhere if Mullen can't get anything going next season. Its one way or the other, either Mullen isn't a good coach or he has set unrealistic expectations to the program by bringing y'all to #1.

Also no shite, I'm pretty positive I saw him at a house Saturday after the game. A lot of athletes were there, recruits included.

I know we are E-Friends
