Fellow Grinders,

It has been quite a ride these past few months. I just wanted to say a few things as we continue our dream season.

Being a life-long State fan, I have become a nega-dawg and our fast-track to success has really put a few things in perspective.

As we enter the home stretch still as the #1 team in the nation, I have realized that, while one of the best feelings ever, football will never make me truly happy. The only thing that can make me truly happy is my relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer is that I am not the only one who sees this.

I apologize for the long post, but I will not apologize for my prayer.

I leave you with this: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 "give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus"

What I meant by the verse is win or lose just be thankful that you were able to experience it.

Ironically, the verse was written by the Apostle Paul about the end times aka grindpocalypse

Good post. I want an SEC Championship. After that then make new goals.

The way this year has gone not getting an SEC title would be a disappointment.

Good post.

Win or lose all dogs won't be upset for too long. We have heard it all from the other fanbases, but mainly "we are just Mississippi State from Mississippi". That statement alone hurts. We are not searching for happiness through football. We are proving that being unified and committed to a seemingly "impossible" dream takes more courage than hopping behind consistently winning teams. This season is an unbelievable and satisfying experience that can only be felt in our situation. People have laughed at us, brushed us off, and patted us on the head like a child. All this to the point where we even lost confidence in our own team during the 2000's. This did not deter me from enrolling in my school in 08' to join my bulldog family in starkville. All we want is something to be proud of as a son/daughter of Mississippi. Regardless of what happens, I have always been a proud bulldog, maybe not the most optimistic, but will continue to be proud.

This team is much more than a football team. They are our brothers, who, in the best way they can, are representing our home. Mississippi is special in a way that is hard to explain. It is like a mother who has raised us. Molded our character and personality. Do not talk about our mother because we all know what happens in those situations. I'm sure our brothers at Ole Miss feel the same way.

To all those that chose to become a part of the bulldog family, thank you. Yall had the chance to go anywhere you wanted but something pulled yall to us. Yall actually kept me believing in our program when it was for sure hard. I'm proud to call yall family, and the ones I know personally real brothers.

I don't know what will happen with the rest of our season, but I do know that once the final clock hits zero on our 14' season, win or lose, I will be able to hear the proud clang from every member of our family, young, old, past and those to be.

It's up to our young men & coaches now; at least they truly control our own destiny, that is, without having to call on some improbable set of circumstances, or other teams to win for us...

Win or lose. Yall got something special this year. Couldn't have asked for anything better in my final season at MSU. Pulling for Bama is causing a little more hurt in my heart than I would've ever thought.

Coach Nick Saban's best team (2011) didn't even win the SEC WEST.

I think Bama fans are still happy about the way luck came to them and had a 2nd chance.

Its different than the others. We got some good bounces that year. It was extremely satisfying to come back and beat that LSU team in such dominating fashion. You don't normally get to avenge a conference loss in the same year, on a national stage, for a championship.

It was awesome. The whole didn't win the conference thing doesn't really matter much to me. Feels weird, but in no way does it take anything away from it.
