That guy lost at home to BYU and has been struggling.
Who sees what I did there?

Kind of doubtful it happens but we are going to get beat so badly at the egg bowl it may change some things.
More fun to think about than our current situation though. So I guess my current list in no particular order would be:
1. Lane Kiffin - OC Alabama
2. Kendal Briles - OC Baylor
3. Jeff Brohm - HC Western Kentucky
4. PJ Fleck - HC Western Michigan
5. Dan Enos - OC Arkansas
6. Todd Monken - OC Tampa Bay
7. James Franklin - HC Penn State if he gets fired
Those are some fairly reasonable names that I think would be quality hires.

yeah but losing to Northwestern and Indiana.

...go with Art Briles, then. Someone will hire him some day, and he will murder almost everyone that he plays. Everyone that tells us what shitty people we are will continue to tell us what shitty people we are. They will hurt my feelings, but I will feel better when we hang 49 on them in the first half.

We could hire his kid as HC and Art on as an assistant and get a lot less hatred.

yep. that may be Freeze's chance for some redemption this season, especially if they have only won 5-6 ish games up to that point.

I don't really think anyone who hires Art Briles will get that much flak.
We want to win, let's do this thing.

If we fired Mullen to hire any of those names I would probably cease all my athletic donations immediately.

Who would you want? We can't get the big names like Petrino.

Howland was too big of a name for us. We got him because he was perceived as damaged goods. After we took him things were OK and a lot of people wanted him. Petrino was damaged goods as well. Once WKU took him, it was OK to bring him back to L'ville. For me, it would be the same with Briles. He seems very contrite to me. Someone is going to grab him, and it will be sooner than later.
FWIW, I am still a big Mullen fan. I have watched MSU suffer since the mid-60's. He's been very, very good for us and to us.

If Herman leaves Houston, I expect Houston to re-hire Briles in a heartbeat.

True. It would be Petrino v2.0.

My preference is Kendal Briles because he seems like the type of guy that vapes on the sideline.

No clue about how well he could build and hold a staff together. He can obviously coach up good talent when it is given to him.
