6-6 Least experienced O-Line in the conference, and a one-dimensional quarterback. And before you argue that Fitz is a capable passer, even if he were he will still be behind a very un-experienced O-line, which is going to be a problem in the passing game regardless. If we beat LSU early, then i'll change my opinion. Until we prove ourselves, I expect par for the course. In total honesty though, I really do not know what to expect. After that LSU game I think we'll all be able to evaluate the team better and more accurately predict an outcome for the season.

6-6 unproven O-line, Fitz has to prove himself capable, not sure how much better our secondary will be, I do expect improvement in the Dline kind of have questions on LBs outside of Leo. Too many question marks for me to be too faithful on this team

7-5 I think we win all four non-conference games plus Ole Miss, Kentucky, and one of either A&M or Arkansas.

10-2 We have been able to put up points we just have not been able to get other teams off the field. With the new DC coordinator and JUCO transfers we will have a much better defense. This will be an exciting and record breaking year for State.

8 wins. I think our defense is better than last year (how can it not be). And our offense is slightly improved.

If we beat LSU then I think we'll win 8 to 9 games. But until I see it, I'm not believing.

I have this feeling that lsu could be really good this season. I actually like coach O and think they could win 10+ games. In the west I think we have wins over arky, a&m, and ole miss.

This is my exact thinking. I think we steal one from Arky or A&M on the road. La Tech has me nervous being away and early. That offense can score.

I did a complete SEC prediction so I'll share MSUs here. I have them going 10-2 with losses to Alabama and LSU.

They will finish 3rd in the West.

Yes they will defeat Georgia. MSU has more going for them. This is a Georgia team that got destroyed by a 5-7 Ole Miss team in Oxford fourth week of the season last year. The fact that 2017 MSU is much better than that team is all you need to know.

You guys have some tossup games on the road but I like Mullen and Fitzgerald better than those teams and I expect MSUs defense to be better with their new DC.

LSU and Alabama just are a tough matchup for MSU. MSU hasn't defeated LSU at home since 1999 and that includes 23 of the last 25. And I don't have to explain Alabama. They're just the best and everyone is battling for 2nd place thanks to Saban.

If MSU has some breaks come their way they are a dark horse for the SEC. This is their year if they're going to do anything. I can't see them doing anything next year with them having Alabama, LSU, and Kansas State on the road. Doesn't seem probable.

I'm going with 9-3. I think Fitz is close to Dak. What I mean by that is Fitz and Dak are at a similar position going into their junior season. I'm not calling Fitz to have the year that Dak had but Fitz will progress. I just don't know how much. The defense is the key. I just want them to be in the middle of the pack of the conference. How many games would have State won last year with a middle of the pack defense? 8?.

My opinion changes every day, really. Today I'll say 8-4 with losses to LSU, UGA, Auburn, and Alabama. Our offensive line shouldn't be a liability this year, according to reports I've seen from practices. The difference maker that could put us either above or below the 8-4 mark is defensive improvement. I think the defense will be a little less effective than the preseason hype with Grantham has led a lot of people to believe, but if I'm wrong we could do much better than I'm assuming we will.

8-4

Don't think we will beat Auburn or Bama this year, every other game on the schedule is possible.

I just see us splitting the GA, LSU, A&M, and Arky 2-2 in some manner and winning both OM & KY.

If we drop a Non Conference game this year I will be very disappointed.

Even an incremental increase in comp% at QB and a pulse on Defense should translate to a few more wins.

Last year, we lost 3 games that we defintely shouldn't have. Missed FG, BS roughing the passer, letting UK make a 51yarder. that's 3. Last year I just hope it was learning to play a 3-4 and under a new DC that was a problem. That's a loss against Arky.

Maybe this team isn't as bad as we think?

We made A&M's asses quit and ole miss too. Somehow we managed to get back in the LSU game.

Ya'll making me feel wooly

Charleston Southern - W
Louisiana Tech - W
LSU - W
UGA - L
Auburn - L
BYU- W
UK- W
A&M - W
UMASS - W
BAMA - L
Arky - L
OM - W

OL will do enough to let Fitz make plays. His rushing numbers will be down as teams load the box and force him to beat them through the air. Defense is going to be much better (can't be worse). Biggest question is what WR will step up after Gray. Mullen has said he wants to use the TEs more and I look for Jordan Thomas to have a big year TD wise as I see him as the primary red zone threat.

Getting LSU at home is why we beat them in a 20-17. 24-23 type game.

I have no idea. I think we could be undefeated when Bama comes in. I also think we could have 6 losses by then. My concern is obviously establishing consistency with the wide receivers we have and their ability to separate and get open, and the turnover on defense and the new faces, although anything would seem to be an improvement over last year. Also field goal kicking.

I do like the schedule. The road trip to La Tech is big prior to going to UGA. I've said it before but I think it could be similar to the 2014 South Alabama trip before we went to LSU. It gives everyone, from coaches to players the ability to work out the kinks and establish routine before going to a SEC venue for a game. The UGA game early will help us before going to Auburn and A&M. I don't pick us to beat Auburn after last year, but we should be prepared for A&M and not blow a game we should win just because it's on the road.

I'm seeing 8-9 wins this year with a realistic opportunity for 10 if our JUCO guys are up to par and we have decent WR play.
