19,17,&17 so far. We gotta get off of our arse. This is not cutting it. We have the best QB of all time and our best WR corps ever but our offensive savant of a head coach can't even muster over 20 points per game.

Last year we put up big points in the first half. That's a staple for a Mullen win.. I NEVER feel good closely trailing at half.

It just sucks to see a ton of offensive weapons squandered.

Is there some beacon year coming we're saving guys for? Dear not playing more is the glaring spot, but there are many others. Couldn't agree more.

Manny is doing very well considering the drop off in offensive production this year. We would've won our bowl game with him in 2014.

It's frustrating. Like 2013 watching Russell get murdered while Dak looks on frustrating..

Frustrating but to defend Mullen a bit some players did not execute very well. Definitely left some points out there.

I definitely did not understand some of the play calling though. Way too conservative.

Normally I rip Mullen, and he definitely has some brain farts, but I can't put this one on him. 2 huge fumbles, and that dropped 4th down conversion by Shumpert were the killers. The players around Dak choked. Shumpert either needs to ride pine or put him back on defense. He is one of the least talented runners I have seen play for us in a long time. He falls after first contact and sometimes even falls over his own feet. Just awful.

We are fumbling a lot this year, something we've never done under Mullen. That alone has made a huge difference.

He fell over his feet because it was a bad throw. He should turn and that be right in his hands. When he has to reach for it and stumbles, that's not on him.

Yeah y'all fricking overreact. Shumpert missed one ball that was a terrible throw by Dak.

What about one of his only rushes of the night on the first possession where he finally cut up the field in the correct hole for about an 11 yard gain.

Just because y'all don't have Holloway to shite on anymore, y'all have chosen Shumpert.

Whatever though, message boards gonna message board I guess.

ETA: tl'dr - Shumpert isn't a great running back, but he is not nearly as terrible as y'all make out, and he's not the reason we lost.

At this point any time Shumpert takes the field it's on Mullen. There's no reason for him to be out there. He hasn't shown anything worthy of playing while the other RB's that actually look good out there ride the pine.

It's the cornerstone of Mullen's coaching. Senority>Talent. That's just the way it's always been, and I suppose the way it always will be.

Remember that year we watched Perkins run for almost 100 2 yd gains with Robinson on the sideline? This is EXACTLY that.

Nobody hates Shump. He just isn't the best RB on the team.

I think Williams is the best Running Back available right now, FWIW. However, he did fumble in a HUGE spot Saturday. We'll have to see how that plays out with Mullen.

I'm fine with blaming Mullen for not playing the best back, but the play calling was far more egregious in my mind than on field personnel was.

I like Dak a lot obviously but he has missed some pretty big throws already this season.

Prescott is a solid player, but he's not going to carry the offense by himself. He has put up solid numbers, but he just hasn't made clutch plays. Offensive play calling with an inability to establish a run game is what is killing us more than anything though.

We need to send some money to some big out of state recruits.

The thing for me is, I believe Mullen is really good at individual development of players and having them prepared for the game. But he is very very sub par at in game management. But it's beyond me how you can be so stubborn as a coach about playing seniority over talent. That's just not feasible.

You need to be giving credit to Myles Garrett. He pretty much dictated what our offense could do. We're limited on what we can do with our OL and that guy is a hoss. I'd be willing to wager he's No. 1 selection in 2017 and definitely a top 5 pick.

Dak overthrew a wide open Myles for a TD.
Maybe DAK could have hit Shump in the chest.
Wilson fumbling the ball mid field.
Aeris fumbling(forced by Garrett) in the red zone. which is why Mullen must trust seniority over talent. Williams was running good IMO.

It's not like we didn't have our chances. 3 and outs after Warren went down. A&M just played a little bit better.

We are exactly where I thought we'd be after the A&M game. 1-2 in the SEC. Except I really expected us to beat LSU and lose on the road to Auburn. Winning on the road in the SEC is not easy. If we can get the Kentucky & Mizzou win, I feel pretty good about getting a win against Arky or Ole miss at home. 4-4 in the SEC would be pretty good.
