They may get exposed at some point this season, but the attitude and energy has dramatically changed. It's the best ive seen since 98-99. Enjoy it and savor the flavor.

Jeffrey Simmons set the tone last night. Talked the talk and walked the walk. It felt so good to see that last night after last year.

Give John Cohen some credit too. He ponied up the money to get a real defensive coordinator. It was fun seeing him so pumped up down on the sideline. Listened to Brian Baker on the post game show and I think he's a big part of the drastic turnaround also. But, it's the SEC and it just gets harder from here. Hope I'm feeling this good when I wake up in Athens next Sunday morning.

It seems like to me that Cohen isn't afraid to spend money.

Helps that he's a former athlete and coach. Watching him Saturday night, obvious he loves MSU and maybe more importantly hates LSU. Pretty sure he feels the same way about Ole Miss, Bama, and the rest of them.

I love that they are swarming to the ball.

I'm sure it will burn as at some point, but at least all of the defense is giving effort and seems to be on the same page.

It's a far cry from some previous coordinator's bend+break defenses.

Your team is one of my favorites to watch right now.

They swarm on defense. They play with a real intensity and fire. I'm not up to speed on a lot of the personnel adjustments, but it seems like Grantham has brought a level of intensity not seen under Diaz.

Regardless, given the mess Diaz was involved with at Texas, I'm sure he regrets leaving. But, perhaps it's for the better. MSU plays salty. Really, really impressed.

Can't wait to see y'all take on Georgia. Hope it's a great game, but most of all -- hope your team stays healthy throughout the season.
