MSU junior RHP Evan Mitchell (0-1, 4.12) will make his 1st start since March 23 when he takes the mound Tues. at AutoZone Park vs. Memphis.
Maybe the month off helped him. Maybe not. We'll see.

As bad as our midweek pitchers have been, it's honestly as miracle we are undefeated in midweek games.

I'm glad Mitchell is getting a start, hopefully he will have a good outing and him and Woodruff will be ready for the SEC tournament.

Well Mitchell has walked 3 batters in the 1st to load up the bases..he recovered to strike out the last batter to avoid any runs.
He still is rough though..lets see what he does in the 2nd inning.

Cohen was still talking highly of him after the game. "He's gonna be really good for us. I believe that. Hated after all those great bullpen sessions he didn't come out and throw as many strikes as we would've liked." Paraphrased.

I heard the same thing, but it sounded like he was saying something completely different to me. 
What I "heard" was that he "has a very bright future ahead of him" said in such a way that he wasn't optimistic that we'd see him again in an MSU uniform.
Maybe in the Oral Roberts game?
Seems like we may have shut down Woodruff. His velocity was off like 8mph at Trustmark...
