Best possible draw for us. Can't explain how good this is. Our battered secondary did not need to get matched up with TCU or Baylor. Not even considering that Tech is terrible in bowl games and our front 7 are hell in a box for the triple option. Love it.

Y'all matchup much better against Georgia Tech than you do TCU or Baylor. I don't know why you wouldn't hope for this matchup.

100% agree.

ETA: Baylor and TCU would light up our secondary (or lack of).

Say, what's the Orange Bowl Payout Vs. the Peach Bowl Payout?

HELL YES.

A month to prepare for the triple option.

GT is 1-8 in their last 9 bowl games and 1-5 under Paul Johnson

It's good to have a month to prep for that triple option. This may be the best matchup we could have gotten.

In the past it was much higher. Not sure what it is now. It was $18 million for the Orange last year and $3-4 million for the Chick Fil A bowl. I have a hard time thinking that hasn't gone up significantly though since it's now a major bowl game.

Sugar pays $80 mil split down the middle.
Orange pays $55 million split down the middle.
Peach pays about $30 million split down the middle most likely...
The exact revenue breakdown isn't readily available and is confusing with the contracts on the Sugar, Orange, and Rose being excluded from the "College Football Playoff" revenue model most of the time but not all of the time. Ultimately, it means there is no "every year" payouts hardly. It varies depending on whether it's a playoff game, etc...

ETA: The new bowl structure overall is likely to put as much money into individual institutions' pockets in year 1 as the SEC Network(considering the startup costs of network). There will be an extra $5-10mil per school in bowl revenue distribution for the SEC. Probably closer to $10mil in all reality...

That $4mil is "appearance money" on top of the even split among the power 5 on top of the $400-600mil per year...

Basically, that's the "bonus money" to conferences for getting more teams in. Which was kinda a screwball deal to the SEC IMO. I thought it should have been like the basketball model(total game appearances by conference over a 5 yr period/total games = revenue distribution to your conference). In the basketball model, the money you make is directly proportional to the amount of games you play in. In this model, you just basically get peanuts for more appearances with no penalty for fewer appearances, keeping revenue distribution among the power 5 within 5-10% of each other...

Atlanta won't know what hit them. WhiteTrash, again, Vs. a pissed-off left out bunch of Texans.

Y'all are going to have your way with Georgia Tech. Watching them in the championship last night against FSU, their defense is absolutely atrocious.

Just get ahead by 14 and once the fourth quarter rolls around, they'll be forced to pass and then have no offense.

Sure would be nice to know if there is a substantial differ in payout, Orange Vs. Peach...
