I would think 4-5 will leave this year.

I know its Belmont but those are pretty strong numbers for Tyler Fullerton. .351 avg and double digit HRs.

Yeah, a few, but we also only have one player with double digit 2Bs. SMH.

Maybe Serrano will go ahead and administer the coup de grâs this weekend. If you want some fun reading you should go over to SPS and see how our boy Engie militantly defends Cohen. He and Rambis go apeshit crazy whenever anyone tears Cohen down.

To be fair, a lot of posters have went full retard wanting to fire Cohen and Butch. Yes, it's been a terrible year, but you can't fire Cohen after this year.

I can appreciate your reasoning for not firing him after this season. I just honestly don't have faith in him to change anything. That would imply he was wrong about his whole philosophy on baseball. I just can't see next season being any better so why waist a whole year

I think we will see several transfers out during the summer. That will put us starting a whole bunch of young players. I don't see us making a regional next year

I'm pretty sure Cohen knows what's on the line next season. I trust him to make the necessary changes he needs with his philosophy, the team, and staff.

In 2011, LSU missed out on the SEC tourney and a regional. Many of their fan base wanted Maineri fired after that. The very next year they won the SEC regular season title and hosted a super.

All teams go through this. One down year every once in a while is to be expected. Two years in a row is not. We'll see how it plays out next season.

A lot of people said the same thing about Mullen when we were sitting at 4-6 in 2013. One year later we hit #1 in the nation for 5 weeks. I have no idea if Cohen gets it turned around next year or not, but given the guy almost got us a NC 2 years ago he certainly deserves another year to see if he can clean up this mess.

Mullen had a competitive team and we didn't get beat by the UABs, USAs and Directional Us of the world. In short we didn't lose to teams we had no business losing too. We also have a history in baseball. Prior to Mullen's arrival Sherrill was our most successful coach and didn't even waist time preparing for LSU. One reason the series is so lopsided

Football and baseball are not even comparable sports. A team like South Alabama, who actually competes annually for regionals, is vastly different in football and baseball. Small schools have a far better chance at competing in baseball than football.

Then it should even been even easier for us to compete in baseball this season.
