Can we get the Sugar Bowl?

If we beat Ole Miss and LSU beats A&M, that sets up a 4 way tie for 2nd in the West with MSU, OM, LSU, Arky (assuming they beat Mizzou). Right now the newest bowl predictions have Ole Miss in the Sugar assuming they win the EB. Most think Florida will lose to FSU and the SECCG.
With that 4 way tie, we would have wins over 2/3 other teams. Arkansas would have wins over 2/3 other teams. We beat Arkansas head to head, and since OM and LSU would have wins against only 1/3 of the other teams, that would put MSU at 2nd in the West in the standings.
I think in this scenario, we would get the Sugar bowl bid. Which would be awesome and I'd make a fool of myself on bourbon st.

Just have to be the highest ranked team in the CFP. If Florida loses twice and we win the Egg Bowl, theres a good chance that will happen.
We'd get Oklahoma/Oklahoma State/Baylor - who ever is highest non-playoff between those three

Do not want Baylor with our secondary
Oklahoma would be a fun game. I don't know much about OSU

I think our defense will come out fired up and we'll get to Kelly early and often. I just hope that'll be enough.

Yeah, I look at like the reverse of our game with Ark. Minus the turnover BS, whichever team came up with the most stops was going to win that game. That team was us. We gifted them 14-21 pts at the start of the 3rd.
OM's defense is good enough to stop us enough to get ahead. We are going to need to be +2 on turnovers to win.

Winner of the Egg Bowl goes IMO.
The thing that worries me most about your team is Chris Jones. Yeah Dak will get his yards and points but we have to be able to keep up. And with the way Jones has been playing as of late, that's not going to be an easy task.

Same with y'all and Nkemdiche. If RN puts pressure on Dak like AJ Jefferson at Bama did to us it could cause problems. If Dak has time to go through his reads he will pick y'all apart.

A&M would finish ahead of MSU in the West but we would have the advantage to get the Sugar Bowl bid because we would be the 2nd highest ranked SEC team in the College Football Playoff ranking (assuming Florida loses to FSU and bama) A&M is currently unranked and would beat a downtrodden unranked LSU team while we would have beaten a solid Arkansas and ranked OM team to end the season and have won 5 out of our last 6 games. We would be the more attractive pick

I have a feeling that UF after two losses will somehow still manage to be ahead of us or ole miss. But I'm a negadawg.
However, Fox Sports has us predicted to go to the Citrus vs Ohio St. if we beat ole miss. I'd love that scenario.

Can't think of a single good angle to pitch this game.
If the other MSU beats the crap out of Iowa though, Iowa will not get an NY6 slot ahead of The Ohio State.

If Fla looses out which is likely, the Egg Bowl is the battle for the Sugar Bowl.

Doubt it. UF Has a better record than OM. I doubt the committee gives the one that got drummed head to head the nudge in the rankings.
