In case you missed it, X Ambassadors, Misterwives, and Local Natives will all be performing. Personally, I'm a huge fan of all 3 groups, however, people will complain.

Some featured songs to get a feel for what will be played

X Ambassadors - Renegades

Misterwives - Reflections

Local Natives - Airplanes

As long as I have a good place to get drunk and the music is pretty good, and the students approve, I will not complain.

As a student I complained when they got shite I didn't want, and now, I understand that they need to get what draws the students and if this does it then I'm down.

It's good music. I believe most will be surprisingly entertained.

I listened to the top song on youtube for all 3 bands. I had actually heard the one from X Ambassadors before somewhere...a commercial maybe.

I did not like the MisterWives lead singers voice. Local Natives sounded pretty good.

Renegades is in Jeep's commercials now. These are 3 solid bands that should put on good shows.

Really? I thought it was really unique. I've been listening to them for a year or so now.

Complaining about Local Natives?

That's an oxymoron.

I'm officially old AF.

Didn't recognize a single one of those bands and their music sounds incredibly shitty to me.

Why can't we get someone like Band of Horses or The Revivalists, Jason Isbell?

ETA: Even a nashville country artist would be better than this shite..and that's saying a hell of a lot.

If you want to listen to some REAL music give Leon Bridges a try. Fresh on the scene and blowing up like an atomic bomb.

We don't need this dime-a-dozen shitty alt rock crap that only hipsters will know.

I would be beyond shocked if Music Makers had the budget to get Jason Isbell

It's too early to be this MAF over something I'm not even going to

You'd be surprised how cheap it would be to get some of these people that are more well known. Jason Isbell isn't exactly on the radio everyday.

well I live in Nashville, so yes he is. He sold out 4 nights at the Ryman in like 10 minutes.

this isn't directed at you...if you don't like the lineup, don't go to the concert that costs $0.

Jason Isbell is too big. I doubt current college students like Band of Horses...they were sort of just a one hit wonder. No idea who the Revivalists are so I can't comment on them.

The Avett Bros. were big by the time they played a couple years go.

It's true, and I won't FWIW. In years past though there has been great line-ups. I just think they dropped the ball on this one.

All three seem to be up and coming bands. Ideally they would get a band that is bigger and everyone likes. But if they have to choose one way to go they should go with pleasing the college students.
