The staff doesn't sound too optimistic about Stovall's knee injury. I don't know if y'all saw it, but it was fairly disgusting.

Alexander at SS. Gridley at 2B.

From what I've seen from Cohen, it's likely that he'll experiment going forward with different middle infields. He can afford to do it with the lack of competition that we face in future series.

Holland is garbage. He had another error just last night that started a big inning.

He's garbage at the plate and the errors are stacking up.

Alexander is the future at SS. He's a much better defensive SS than Gridley right now.

That being said he has not been healthy from what I've read on 24/7. That's why they started playing Stovall and Holland.

All three options are garbage at the plate, but Alexander is easily the best defensively.

You're a baseball guy, you know how hard it is to get going at the plate with only 50 or so PA's. I wouldn't say he's a liability in the field. What I'm trying to say is that I still believe we can win with whomever we put out there.

I think we have options in play and will be good moving forward. 2nd base is easy af to play.

I like the alexander at ss and gridley at 2nd call

Oh yeah I agree, but iirc Holland played most of the year last year and wasn't very good. Which was extremely disappointing. I thought we were getting a stud transfer and he's turned out to be a dud.

I agree. However, over the course of the last few weekends my patience with Holland is shot. If those two errors last weekend and this weekend don't come with 2 outs and a chance to get out of an inning, that ends up turning into a big inning for the opposition, I'm probably not as pissed.

Honestly I think we should have just stuck with this from the beginning, but I think Alexander got hurt somehow. I don't remember it but it's been talked about on 24/7.

I'm also not against moving people around to try to find a better offensive option but I think we have seen what we are getting out of Alexander, Stovall, and Holland at this point.

I have really high hopes and expectations for Alexander. I've always wanted a bigger SS with range, strong arm that could go yard. I think Alexander has shown he has all those things but he's just got to be more consistent at the plate.

That was the most poorly managed game I've ever witnessed. Depressing really. Need to take game 3.

I don't understand pulling Sexton, and I don't understand putting Billingsly against a right handed batter in that situation. We are lucky that ball just hit the wall, everyone watching knew he was about to throw a breaking ball and the guy, who otherwise isn't a great hitter, shite all over it.

I feel like our offense as a whole is in a mini-slump, but at least we're still finding a way to win games. It also leaves us room to come on hot heading into postseason play.
