I'm gonna try and make it to the opening weekend games. Once baseball season starts for me on the 27th I doubt I can make any after that.

I believe it'll be a very exciting season. I've already been to a couple of scrimmages thus far. Young pitching looks to be solid. This team is loaded with JRs so the "spotlight" shouldn't be an issue. Hitting was scarce during the last scrimmage, but fairly certain that is due to the solid pitching. Don't expect a lot of home runs this year. Cohen is playing straight into his small ball strategy. Collins, Robson and Humpries will be the catalyst on offense.

I wouldn't jump to conclusions. We finally have the personnel to make it work. A few power arms and power bats and the rest of the team is real scrappy. However, it's always been hit or miss. If Cohen does not at least host a regional and make a Super, he needs to go. That would be a tough decision to make with the new stadium coming soon if he underperforms drastically.

Feel free to stop by the ole Lounge. We sunk about 1K into it remodeling. It had to be done. We put wood down over the rotting sheet metal on the inside. Someone stole Felicia (the mannequin with all the signatures) last year, though. I'm getting real sick of being behind the pole in left.

As long as we make the tourney he's safe.

Pivey, you've brought some solid input, but this small ball nonsense is completely contrary to what I've seen and read.

Collins, Hump, Kruger, Rooker, Gordon, and Lowe bring bats to the roster that frankly we just didn't have last year.

This team is deep, easily the deepest I've seen us.

We have much more talent throughout our lineup, but of the 6 or 7 scrimmages I've attended, I've seen a total of 1 long ball. Like I said earlier though, it's hard to get a solid read because we are facing our own pitching. When I say small ball, I specifically mean generating runs, station to station baseball. But I agree with you wholeheartedly that we finally have the bats to get these thngs done. Excited for a great spring those first couple weeks of cold weather is unbearable, but you better believe I'll be out there.

I know we have Robson, but how is the speed on the basepaths?

I'm remaining cautiously optimistic. It's hard not to get excited with all the hype we are getting from national writers.

I think we have much more power this year, but I'm not sure how many more long balls you see. That may sound contradictory but I think you see a lot of gappers and XBHs.

I'll be in that motha fricka every weekend we play at home.
