According to Gridiron Now, Cincinnati offensive coordinator Eddie Gran is one of the leading candidates to replace Shannon Dawson in the same position. The 50-year-old Gran, who has spent the past three seasons as the offensive coordinator with the Bearcats, served as the associate head coach at Florida State, where he worked with Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops for three seasons. Gran's coaching history also includes stops at Mississippi State, Florida and Tennessee. Cincinnati has averaged at least 460 yards of offense per game in each of Gran's three seasons, including 559.4 yards this season, good enough for fifth nationally. Gran is also known as a 'high-level recruiter' in south Florida.

Would be one hell of a hire.

Would be a very solid hire, but I hope our fanbase can be patient enough to wait for the offense to take if it does happen. While part of our offensive woes have been playcalling, it doesn't help to have a rotating door at OC.

Ya 3rd OC in 4 years sucks. Stoops needs to stop getting air raid type OC if he wants a power running game. Still think it's for the best since there was a major difference in philosophy.

Team got railed in bowl. With that said UK don't have OC's lining up to come here, so would still be a good hire.
