Because:
1. This is a great topic;
2. For tRant.

Went to Dudleys after the new chef changed the menu for the first time last weekend. Huge improvement. Always been really well executed, but the new guy added imaginative dishes. Might overtake 310, distilled, and Jean Farris as my favorite in town.

I need to take the SO to Lexington for a weekend to check out all the places that have opened in the last couple years.

Has the place opened that'll be paired with the 21c hotel?

No, but looks like getting closer

New "hot chicken" place went in where the old Billy's BBQ was, not bad.

I like the hole in the wall BBQ that went in near the new Spauldings and JIF plant. There is a new bar/grill place about a block down at the corner of Walton and 3rd. Seemed like a place for the younger set.

Not sure if I have been to Dudley's since Debbie moved it

Stella Mae passed away so her place has since closed (sad day indeed)

I would pass on the new pasta place on Delaware Ave. I usually go to a place at least 3 times before crossing it off the list, but after a single trip, will not go back.

The bbq place is blue door and it has amazing brisket. I don't even like brisket and I get t every time. (Fun game, go to Texas and explain that "beef ain't barbecue")

The bar/grill is Locals. I don't think it's exclusively younger people, it's really a "for everyone" kind of vibe. I use it to watch games a lot, as it has great bar food. Although it's tough being over there and not hitting provisions.

I'm over in this neighborhood a lot as I live just across main from it.

Also what happened at pasta garage? I've had really great food and totally average food, but never had a problem. The ordering system being an iPad is sort of a pain in the arse though.

I love Proof here in Louisville, so if it's anything close to that kind of quality Lexington folks will love it.

Sounds like Magee's may be your haunt, CMM hangs there and I see CC at Wheeler's. If you live in Hangover Tower imma laff my arse off. If you are over there, do you go to Wilson's? Damn good fried bologna and egg sammich and good deer meat when they have it.

As for the pasta place next to Scanlon's Garage, food was bad, coupled with overpriced and small portions. iPad is a major pain in the arse and just a way to cut overhead but not passing it on to customer.

Play that age often in Texas, they really short circuit when I am injecting mutton as they are used to the pork crowd.

My first strike "well have you ever had BBQ mutton?"
They answer brain freeze and eventually respond with "no"
Gets really fun after that.
