Mitch isn't going to come out and speak. It doesn't matter if the Kernal and KSR both posted similar things. What this particular letter says that I like is that Mitch has almost all the sports heading upwards. It really irritates me when people say he's doing a bad job. I don't agree with the hiding he's been doing lately, but that doesn't mean he's a shitty AD. Again, we know nothing. He may already have a person ready to step in.

Bho,

I agree mostly, I think Barnhart has done a good job with his non-revenue sports hires. I think BCG was a disaster that could have been avoided if he had properly vetted him. I also sort of think Cal was forced on him as opposed to him going after Cal.

I was OK with the Joker experiment, but it does look like it's not working and we will see if he sticks with him for another year, or moves in another direction. I don't personally think firing Joker is as easy as it sounds, because if you are going to fire him, you better have an impact hire ready and I'm not sure that is possible.

Bho, Mitch has been a very good AD in regard to other sports. Football makes the money but all student athletes are important and I'm glad Mitch feels that way.

But Mitch is doing a bad job with Football. Last year in his letter to the fans, he tried to use the UT win which was a fluke, as a justification that this program was headed in the right direction. Even though last year was the first time UK hadn't been bowl eligible in years, and the program has steadily declined every year since Joker has been HC.

With the bowl streak, it looked like UK was on the upswing. The last few years knocked the wind out of any momentum we had.

I don't really like Mitch right now, but he could redeem himself by making a good hire.
