Worst Case:
The NCAA shows no mercy against a kid who made a poor choice. We again take a few steps back that were gained this season only to start over again next year. Only without a possible QB competition. Do we even have any QB recruits this year? Grier transfers to JUCO/nonSEC school and will fade into mediocrity.

Best case:
This is what I believe will happen. Grier addressing the press is the best thing I think he could have done. You could tell how truly devasted he was. It was a great PR move for McElwain to allow him to do it. This could persuade the NCAA to shorten his suspension maybe just through the 2015 season. I doubt it would be just a few games, but I can see it being just the season.

There's got to be a deal that the UF can offer to help lighten this issue.

The automatic suspension is 12 months. It can be negotiated back to 50% of a season.

Best case (aside from them dropping the whole thing), he can play from game one next year. Worst case, he isn't eligible anywhere until mid october 2016.

If he could get it reduced down to 6 games then that would be great. Would that make him available for the SEC championship game or bowl/playoff? Just having him back for the start of next year would be great.

Missouri had the exact same thing happen to a WR in 2014. No word on if he appealed but he did get the 1 year ban.

Best Case: He gets to play in a Gators uniform again. I honestly don't see a situation where he leaves UF.

Worst Case: He doesn't. He transfers and we continue to look for our QB of the future.
