Yes they looked unbeatable vs. LSU.

But their offense is still Henry or bust. Our secondary can shut down their WRs.

Sure our offense has looked like shite lately. But who cares? We weren't supposed to be in this position to begin with.

Back up QB, first year HC, youngest OL in the SEC. Bama will be talked up all week and UF will have a TON of bulletin board material.

Bama is good but they aren't unbeatable.

Well, Vandy for one, took it to us and I daresay they have a much worse team than Alabama. We may be able to hold them on defense, but our offense is in complete disarray right now. Perhaps, they can work some kinks out. The good part is that we have three more games to iron it out, and really, everything is good news.

Playing an extra game, getting extra attention, even if we lose, everyone remembers we stood no chance for the last two years.

Playing for championships, Mac has already surpassed Mus.

The only thing that makes me not panic following the Vandy game is all the flukish stuff that went into in. The opening drive touchdown that was overturned (without proper video evidence), the missed extra point, not being able to kick a field goal twice in positions that we should have been able to run our kicker out there and him hit the field goal, turning the ball over in Vandy territory 4 times, all of that stuff is extremely flukish when you look at our body of work the entire season. Hell, even their touchdown run was aided by the ref blocking Keanu Neal. If Mac is the coach I think he is, he will use this as motivation and a learning experience to not let it happen again and go out and prove to the doubters that we are for real. I'm interested to see how we do at responding to a bad performance and if we can see noticeable improvement from last week to this week.

We played sloppy against Vandy and it was very frustrating. Like Muschamp ball all over again. But if these uncharacteristic errors don't occur, that game should've been 30-0. We are a much better team that came out and played a sloppy game, but found a way to do just enough to win.

When we play FSU and eventually Bama, you will see more of the Florida team we saw vs Ole Miss, Georgia, and LSU and less of the team we saw against Vandy and ECU. Mac hasn't given me a reason to lose faith in him, so I trust that he'll have them ready for South Carolina, then FSU, then whoever we draw from the West in the SEC Championship Game.

I don't have to play them so I'm not scared. I'm just smart enough to realize that they're better than us in all aspects of the game and will likely skull frick us into oblivion.

Were we really that good to win the East or did we just take advantage of a division that is currently down? How many wins were related to beating our opponrnts like a drum like we used to in the past compared to barely pulling it out because we equally/slightly less horrible than our opponent?

BAMA WILL BEAT US!!!

Ole Miss beat Bama, anything is possible. Do i think we ll beat them? No. But i do think once Mac has 2 more classes come in and builds up the offense the way he wants it we ll be the Beasts of the East again.

I aint skeered of Bama....we will meet in neutral site with approximately 50% Gators there....with a defense that can shut down anyone. We just need special team breaks and our offense able to run some to free up Treon. It can happen folks....and we may not even play Bama as they still have Moo State and AU to play.

Bama had a bad game. Despite having 5 turnovers, Bama almost won that game at the end.

The team is playing with house money. They're already locked into the SECC, everything from here on out is gravy. I think Bama is a good deal better than UF, but I wouldn't be surprised by any outcome.

It's because Harris is the QB. If we still had Grier I would feel much better about beating BAMA and doing some damage in the playoff. I think our defense is good enough to beat anyone . The WRs and RBs are not bad but the OL and QB play now have been really bad. They are clearly better then us on offense the way Harris has been playing. I am shocked that we have not starts to run the read option and maybe ev some hurry up to get ready for BAMA. Maybe Malzahn will be able to uncover some weaknesses for us on BAMAs defense.

Look at replay of game Finch and its really FOUR turnovers that Bama committed against Ole Missy...the fourth one was a turnover just before game ended when Bama was in panic mode and should not count as a reason Bama lost to Ole Miss.

And you cant claim Bama almost won the game...they had gotten beat and its human nature to let off the gas pedal with big lead. Ole Missy did what most teams do...play prevent defense and keep everything in front of them....left clock run...etc etc. Same thing we did against UGA 2 yrs in a row.

They are basically LSU with a better coaching staff. Because of the linebacker depth we dont match up well against power run teams. I sort of believe that football is a lot like boxing sometimes, styles make fights and in football matchups make the game but I also believe that crazy things can happen for the underdog on those magical nights.

I know one thing though. I have read every practice report, watched every post game and midweek presser and seen every game and damn near have listened to every Gator radio show. I know this, Coach Mac will have UF prepared and ready to go. They will not go silently into that night. The defense will wrap up and tackle and go for the strip everytime. The DBs will gamble and go for them pick 6's on Coker. Townsend will be running into the endzone on Les Milesesque fake punt. Mac will send Hardin to a Bill Belichek therpaist and Hardin will suddenly be nailing 55 yarders with regularity like Heitland did in 2006. Calloway will house a punt return and Powell will have us starting at midfield on every drive. On offense we are gonna zone read Bama to damn death. Hell Mac might install the triple option for this game. 30 bubble screens to Drob and 5-10 bombs to Calloway and 5 drags to Powell should do the trick. KT is gonna go colorblind and think he is playing UG and run for 200. Flea flickers all night! Double reverse screen passes galore. Coach Mac is gonna pull so much shite out of his arse in Atlanta he is gonna have to go see a proctologist after the game.

14-1

I replay the LSU game in my head when I think about Bama. Since I would imagine our defensive strategy would be similar.

The Bad:
We sold out on the pass to defend the run. They ran for 221 yards and 3TD's on us. Bama has a better offensive line than LSU. While stopping all 221 yards on the ground LSU went 13/19 for 202 yds, 2TD's O int's through the air. LSU is 122nd in the nation in passing.

We ran for 55 yards on LSU. Alabama statistically has the best rushing defense in the NCAA. Granted we were playing catch up.

Alabama has the 24th ranked pass defense. LSU is 27th. Alabama has given up the 3rd fewest yards all season. LSU is 8th.

Bama has allowed 16.3ppg. LSU 23.5ppg.

Treon Harris can barely hit a receiver in the chest on a wide open screen pass.

The Good:
Our defense is stout and we only allow 14.6ppg. (We did have the luxury of playing Vandy, Mizz and Ga who all cant score for some reason)

Our Defense will learn from the LSU game I think and not give up those crazy stupid passing plays they did.

Ole Miss has a better passing game than Bama and we made Kelly look like a freshman in high school.

If not for a fake FG and a total collapse in the 2nd quarter on defense we beat LSU.

Overall Bama is just a better team. I think they are coached better. Like him or not Kiffin is calling good games. They have more talent plain and simple. Can we win yes, if Harris somehow summons the spirit of past Gator greats. When the game gets here I see a 12.5 pt spread in favor of Bama.

If we had Grier id give us a punchers chance, too many missed opportunities right now from the qb position.

If Bama plays a bad game and we play a good one, we can beat them. That said, Bama would win probably 8 out of 10 times. So not scared of them, but I think they are the better team.
