Couldn't have honored someone more deserving. That 1977 TD catch in the UGA end zone was awesome.

National College Football Hall of Fame. He has been the highest draft choice by ANY SEC WR since he was chosen 3rd overall pick. Cooper of Bama has a chance to tie him? WR is not a position that is taken in the first half of the first round by the NFL normally.

If you don't remember UF in the mid to late seventies, we were a wishbone team that ran the trip option close to what Ga Tech does now. You didn't need qb that threw the ball...most qbs in wishbone offenses were really RBs/WRs. UF was blessed with an assortment of RBs/Fbs who were blazers...even qbs could run well. Wes was usually open when he caught passes...but not always and it was what he did after a catch that was awesome. He played QB/WR/RB during his career at UF. Smooth as silk.

Click on UTube and type in Wes Chandler and 1977 UGA game. He had the ill fortune to be drafted by the Saints and they were awful. After a few years he went to San Diego where he shined in Coryells offense. If he had of been taken by the Steelers or Cowboys or Packers in the draft he would be a household name.

No....and that's a crock...it is their choice of accomplishments that keeps him from entry to the ROH.

CFB HOF should be close to an automatic ROH. We only have 8 in school history.
