Throw a metric ton of money at Schiano. Poach from Meyer as he did to UF on his way out the door. Then send a Christmas card to his family signed by all the interns working in the football offices.

I'd love Schiano but that's a pipe dream.
I'd go with either Shannon or Mike Elko of Wake Forest. Notre Dame is also looking at Elko but with Brian Kelly's tenuous job status I'd suspect he'd take the UF DC job over Notre Dame.

Hire a southern based DC with a lot of southern roots and a history of recruiting Fla and the SE.

It would be nice to get an Ace recruiter. I will be shocked if Shannon doesn't get promoted to DC.

I am reel gator and I approve this message.
Locksley is a very good recruiter and helped Zook recruit at UF, Illinois and at Maryland helped them get Stefan Diggs who was wanted by EVERYONE.
Skipper was LB coach at Colorado St under Mac and has more experience there than being a RB coach. Shannon is a southern guy with a lot of roots in Miamuh and HC experience and a lot of DC experience...a natural fit.
Adding Locksley is helping us recruit that much better.

Not trying to call you out.
It just makes sense that Skipper would want to move back to LB coach. That is what he has done for most of his coaching career. Skipper was hired to be the LB coach until Shannon said he would coach LBs. Moved over to RBs and has done a really good job.
