Do you think he finishes his career as a Gator?
If so, do you think it's at QB, DB, or WR?

I heard them say on the telecast FSU was recruiting him as a DB. I knew he was committed to them but assumed it was at QB. Having said that, if we land a big time recruit and Grier is eligible day 1, I think he may consider trying to help the team out in anyway possible. Alot of people likely to go pro in the secondary.

I don't see Treon staying at Florida if he is asked to change positions.

That is just me and I could be wrong.

We need treon at qb next year and I think it would be stupid to move him his senior year so i think he stays put

Back up QB is an important position

Treon will be a junior next year. He has no NFL future at QB so it will depend on his desire to change in an effort to find a way to the league.

i know im saying we need him next year obviously if grier isnt back he'll be starting

but his senior year whats the point? he aint gonna learn the position and actually contribute at wr or db in a year so leave him where he is

i really doubt he would wanna be moved anyway but yea maybe if he wants to get ready for the nfl and sees that as his best option

Eh, we've had some prior quarterbacks make it pretty big at Tight End positions.

He needs to change, he'll always play second fiddle if Grier is eligible and having only one bullet in your gun at the QB position, unfortunately, is not going to cut it. He has no future in the NFL at QB.

Really, if we had taken on another decent QB this year he might have dropped to third string.

I really like Treon... more than most I would say.

His accuracy is god-awful on anything under 15 yards, but he's got awesome composure, he can throw a great deep ball, and he's a legit athlete that can make people miss and rack up big yards running the ball.

He's good enough to get the job done now, but I think he could earn the starting job over grier if he finishes the season strong and puts in work over the offseason. If he improves his accuracy (a big if), he'll be a beast.

I'm also not confident that he's a great enough athlete to separate himself from the WRs and DBs on our roster.

I just think if we take Trask and maybe Haskins, Franks, or Eason.

Grier is eligible Day 1....and we still have Del Rio.

I could see him being the starter for a good portion of next season, but going into SR year could be tough to hold onto the job unless he brings us an SEC ship or more in the next year and change.

Just thinking hypothetically. He's a great athlete at QB. We don't get to see his straight line 40 speed or vertical at the QB position but I have to think if FSU was going to try him at DB, he maybe could have been serviceable.

But again, that's if he has 3 years at the position.

Doesn't happen unless he plays fantastic. OSU's dude Cardale Jones didn't even get a surefire starting position until later on in the season.

Literally, Harris would have to be Heisman worthy for this to happen. Or start throwing 400 a game for the rest of the season.

Treon is a 45% completion kind of QB...but does well because he usually is not going color blind on the field.

Things have a way of working out. It would be difficult for him to make position move, pride is there and he wants to be a QB...which he could be in Canada honestly. WR is really the only option and he could get in long line for snaps. I think with his knowledge of the offense he could surpass a few WRs though and if he really put in the time could be a real asset. He already has shown a good attitude and didnt let being # 2 QB hurt him.

His long throws have been his best...but is definitely not good at intermediate or short passes. Throws a 4 yd pass as if the receiver is downfield 30 yds. He can improve and even when Grier is back....we always want to have backup QB who is ready to go....he is that guy.

We do have Jacob Guy and Id like to see him on the field soon in mop up duty...he is 6'5" and prototype pocket passer...we need a backup now in case the unthinkable happens. Why trot out someone who has never ever taken a snap? This does cause me concern. We also have the Vandy transfer and between he or Guy..one of them needs snaps. If Vandy and USC dont provide opportunity...then surely FAU will?

With the potential of Grier being back week 1 next year and Del-Rio and Guy having a year in the system if he doesn't change positions he doesn't see the field IMO. I think in Coach Mac's offense you need to make the short/intermediate throws and Treon continues to show us he cant.

Im worried about THIS year...again....if Treon gets injured in USC game....we are going to send someone in at QB who has NEVER taken a snap? Thats why I want to see us send a backup in for a few snaps to at least watch them and let them know how it feels in front of 90,000 fans instead of doing it during the girls school game.

What does Ohio State have to do with anything? They have a different coach and different players.

Not sure how you can draw any conclusions about Grier/Harris based upon Meyer's decisions regarding Barrett/Jones.

I think he transfers. I will be shocked if he finishes his career with UF. He seems to scared of contact to play another position. Hopefully Grier will be back to start next year or we get a stud QB in this recruiting class to enroll early. I would like to see us run the wild cat some.

Because Harris actually isn't good.

At all.

He's got one pass: The scramble around, wait for coverage to breakdown and then bomb it out to his receiver.

That's great in the West where no one plays defense. It's really bad when we want a consistent offense. He can't throw short-intermediate passes, and as I said: He will have to play out of his mind to even be considered for the position next year.

Even if we win all the way down the line into the SECCG -- Grier will start ahead of him.

Not sure why anyone thinks Harris even has a remote chance of starting at QB.
