Alleva fricked the whole thing up. They should have canned Miles at the end of last year if they were going to do it. Anybody with a brain knew as soon as it became apparent that Strong was done at Texas and Houston got the "Thanks, but no thanks" treatment from the Big 12 that LSU wasn't getting Herman. I think Fisher was dicey at best.

So what you saw was their essentially admitting to having not looked at any other options. They hired Coach O today because they knew it was coming anyway, and the longer they waited, the harder it would have been for them to create a narrative that Coach O wasn't the last resort all along. And you know that's coming.
