Why help them financially?

Let them rot. They're an irrelevant program, let them stay that way.

This is their stadium today.

How do we, and FSU for that matter, lose recruits to a school like that?

Stadium is in a bad location, especially in relation to the UM campus. Reminds me of Tulane moving to the Super Dome.

I put them on the same level as FSucks, (i know they really aren't but don't confuse my train of thought)
We should alternate SCum and Fsucks every 2 years. This would still meet the need of a power 5 opponent and not give either one an advantage.

No, FSU is the dominant school in the ACC. We need to play them every year just to ensure FSU doesn't have an easy path to the playoffs, although we sucked the past few years. Most years FSU has 2 games on the schedule, us and Clemson.

Let Miami rot. They're not relevant nationally, we would only help fill their stadium and for some strange reason, we can't beat them. Lose, lose proposition.

Actually Tulane campus is closer to Super Dome than Sun Financial is to the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables. Its a long drive and traffic is horrible in Miami Lakes.

I sent AD Foley an email expressing my dismay that the game would even be considered...would rather play a team like Indiana, Minnesota, K State or some such..we would get more billing for that type of game.

You younger Gators dont know this but we used to play a more diverse schedule...we played home and away with Northwestern in mid sixties, Illinois in late sixties, K State in 1970s California Bears & Syracuse in 1980, home and away with Southern Cal in 1982-83 Oklahoma State in 1990. Most of those games were scheduled when UM was still played every year...but we had fewer SEC games then. UM came off the schedule finally in 1987 or so and they cried cause they lost their milkcow. Screw them.

Yes, I am familiar with the distances of both having lived in N.O. and South Florida. I was just doing a comparison thing. Tulane students at games in the dome were almost non existent.
