Not bad for a staff who can't recruit
Tyrie Cleveland
TJ McCoy
Jawaan Taylor
David Reese
Chauncey Gardner
Jabari Zuniga
Kylan Johnson
Pretty balanced too with 3 on offense and 4 on defense. Bodes well for the future
Update: Linebacker David Reese and OL Jawaan Taylor have also been named to the freshman all American team. Hate having all those 3 star guys

People care too much about class rankings. I'll take a class that fills needs and guys that contribute early that's ranked 12th over a class of guys that don't fit and turn into busts that's ranked 6th.
Recruiting matters. But it's not the class rankings that matter, it's identifying and evaluating guys that can be a fit to our program and come in and play right away that matters. Can you imagine once we start getting top 5 classes that fill our needs and guys contribute early? I can see the championships now. Trust in Mac boys he knows what he is doing.

That being said a top 5 class that also fills your needs and fits your play style is best of all.
Edit:
And based on the remaining targets left and the lack of mo heading into the dead period, UF won't be getting that.
A top 15 class that fills all roster needs is about all UF can hope for for this cycle.

If you don't think there's momentum right now you're not paying attention. There's a lot of really talented guys giving Florida their last visit before NSD. The momentum has picked up really nicely IMO

God just think how bad this season would have been without those two. UF would have lost to LSU probably for sure without Reese and Taylor really elevated the play of the whole OL.

You guys sound like Fans of a little 6 program. 3 stars don't win you championships . If the last 2 seasons are good enough for you guys then the recruiting recently is great. If you want to win championships then we need some 4 and 5 star players.

Since you dont know me friend...I've been a Gator since 1962 and have watched many many Gator games. No one and I mean no one wants us to win more than I do. Got it? You dont add water and instant success is attained by most coaches.
I could go on and on the reasons why we are were we are...but why? Hate losing but we are only in year two of Mac's tenure...he has two more years to show fans what he can produce...if he cant show improvement, then we will have a new HC...but he is here for 2 more years and you might as well support him and the staff.

Where are tbs other 25+ 3*s at under Mac? Good for these guys. Let's see if it carries over to the other guys.

Good players win hardware. Not some rating made by watching 7 on 7 and camps. If the recruiting writers were so good at evaluating talent, some college would pay them more to evaluate talent for them. Luke on 247 said that Quincy Wilson would never be a SEC level CB. Dude is about to get drafted in the first or second round.
Look at which schools are offering a recruit. If a kid has offers from big time schools, then you know the kid is pretty good.

Jarrad Davis UF Auburn battle
Lamical Perine UF Bama
Brian Burns UF FSU Miami
He was the best HS passer rusher coming out of Florida last year, 3* He has balled out at FSU.
Recruiting matters. There is no doubt about that. But a rating from journalism majors who could not get a good job is not what matters.

Class rankings mean shite if you dont fill needs. I live in LA and despite all of the top classes LSU pulls, their fans bitch more than we do about their Oline and QBs.

I just wish we could get through the dead period and add some recruits so the panic could die down a bit lol
I haven't gone to the dark side... yet. I'm right in the middle where I like to be.
On the plus side, I met an old gator booster recently that might not be using his tickets as much next year, so maybe I'll get to go to a lot of these big home games!

I feel that Mac has done so outside of one position numbers wise, DT. Previously DBs was one position that UF under recruited with Mac but that is getting addressed this cycle.

DT and DB are a bit uneven right now but hopefully that is rectified this cycle. Need two more DT and 3 more DB.
