Looking at the roster, does anyone else hate the duplicated numbers? A college team can only dress out a limited number of players per home game and even less on road games. That number is size-ably less than 100. Why not give each player a number that is his only, as Seniors leave, younger players can take over the vacant number. Just seems stupid to me to have two number 12s,8s, etc.

I do dislike using te same number for two players -- BUT, some recruits get really happy to have their number. I suppose you take what you can get.

In high school I always wanted number 22, but as a Freshman was #43, #13 as a Soph and finally got #22 when the Senior that had it graduated my Junior year. This is the way is should be. The older players earn the right to the numbers, younger players should wait their turn.
Just another sign of the times, they would rather have 2 or 3 of a number instead of saying, no, you have to wait your turn.

Yeah, kids are pretty fickle these days. I would just be happy to be playing, honestly, but if I could worm my way into the jersey my pa' wore, or what I wore in high school I'd be pretty happy. There's a shite ton of grandstanding going on (like with that Fields kid quarterback). I said on the recruiting board that I was glad we landed Corral instead of Fields, because I like that the kid wants to commit and not ''play the game''.
