Wonder if they'll release a statement.

Damn you're on it dmb.

Is it Muschamp releasing Pease and Davis, or UF? It's semantics, but it's interesting to me.

Saw on GC Applewhite was the replacement. Hope that's not true.

Someone mentioned UAB's OC.

But if Applewhite,

Hopefully that's not true

That wasn't on the same thread that said Jimbo Fisher was going to Texas was it? GC is always a little insane.

ETA: Bruce Feldman is reporting that there was friction between Pease and Davis all year of play calling. That has very interesting implications toward one of the greater questions we've had all year.

Just saw it a second ago, but thanks for posting earlier. Can't say I'm surprised, though, and I'm glad Davis is gone.

Hopefully WM gets this one right.

Former USC coach Lane Kiffin is rumored to be a candidate to replace Pease.

He may be a douche and certainly is a shite HC, but it could be worse (not a LK fan, either). Although I wonder if it was he or S. Sarkisian that did most of the work back at USC.

Oh frick.

I can just imagine the horror.

Muschamp fired middle next year, Kiffin made interim HC.

I could think of much worse than LK. Hell of a recruiter and a decent OC

At least spiffy kiffy has hot wife who is a Gator and a family legend to boot (John Reaves)....but not enough for me to want him. He would be short short term fix as he is looking for job as HC.

Mike Mularkey is an interesting name and he was a guy that AD Foley always had in back pocxet. Ex Gator TE and has been OC/HC for years in the pros, which has kept him from considering UF up til now..he is in his mid 50s and probably thinking of warm climates. Very sharp football mind and if he is totally committed to recruiting and not having his agent looking at the pro job listings all the time...then he is hands down one of the jewels out there. Muschamp knows him from his younger days in Gainesville...a great match.

No matter who the OC is...they will have stocked fridge ands a loaded pantry next year. One more recruiting class strong on offense will really set us up.

Clay Helton
Blake Anderson
Dave Christensen

These things are never as they seem. Usually the hire comes out of left field.
