Sure you'd love to be proved wrong, but if you aren't - you are going to come here and laugh at the optimists in your fanbase like an a-hole.

Makes perfect sense.

In so far as actual football discussion goes - I don't know how to feel about 2017. Too much can change in a year.

I know that UF will return at worst, 4/5 of the OL, they will return their starting QB, they will return their 2 leading rushers, and all of their meaningful pass catchers. the offense will be good.

Defense? UF will be fine at DE. DT is worrisome. LB is fine - a lot of good young players waiting to step in. They won't be Davis and Anzalone caliber, but they won't be crap. Reese and Johnson have played well this year, and Joseph and Moon are going to be good. There will be a gigantic drop off at corner, but you can't have two #1 draft picks at corner every year. Safety is fine, Washington is coming along, and Gardner and Dawson can both play there if needed.

UF will also probably have the best kicking specialists in the SEC with Townsend a senior and Eddy a junior.

So I know that some of the more negative of you are already pissing yourselves about next year, even though we still have, at minimum, 6 games left to play this year counting a bowl, but even if you aren't as high on the team as others, objectively, I still see a decent roster in 2017 and that doesn't even include any new blood UF brings in from recruiting.

But back to 2016 - since you know - it is still going on.

UF is 5-1. They are ranked in the top 15 in both major polls. All of the season goals are still attainable. Enjoy it.

No, you're not.

Are you and TJ literally saying there has been no improvement since Treon? If you say no, you're simply delusional.

Everyone has said it's a work in progress. We have almost the entire Oline coming back (if not the entire), our best rushers, our best receivers and our quarterback is starting to pick it up a little more. He made some clutch plays, to say the least, and at most, moved the ball which we've been waiting for.

You guys are jumping it way, way too early. We have no idea what 2017 UF will look like, but we control our own destiny this year.

That's way fricking more than we could have said in the last years of Muschamp.

frick you both, we're improving and not losing to Vanderbilt and Missouri.

That's all I wanted to see, clear as day.

Now for TJ.

Offense is improving, defense hasn't been bad since the Zook days.

Gators on the right track.

First lets discuss 2017....Anzalone isnt going pro...he would be at best a 5th rounder...he only has half a year of experience in playing time due to injuries...he is a jr. I do think Reese will be a good one...Joseph and Moon have been getting some snaps at LB. We usually only have 2 LBs on the field unless its obviously a run down or a run oriented team.

Sharpe most likely will be back and needs it to be a higher draft choice...but who knows? We should have all five OL returning.

DL will be ok...CeCe Jefferson, Sherit, Polite, Bryan, Clark, Davis, Reed, Smith, Zuniga, Clayton...Caleb Brantley is a jr and it isnt out of the realm of possibilities that he could return to enhance his draft status...just remember that Bullard was a third round pick as a sr...you never know what his draft stock will be....its smart to wait if you get professional advice that you could be middle round pick..if he came back back our defense will be stout for sure.

Secondary will have Nick Washington, Marcell Harris as seniors, Chauncey Gardner, Joseph Putu (who might be redshirting? and would be a junior...he only played a few snaps early on)Chris Williamson. Tabor and Wilson are gone. Early enrollees at DB will get chances to play.

As for 2016...I have already stated that anything is possible with our defense. I had 11-1 as my prediction. Now its 10-1

It hasn't been bad because Zook, Meyer and WM could recruit defense. Would you like me to post their defensive classes?

No I knew Tebow could play as evidence by fact that he won the fricking Heisman. A star studded young defense was more to blame for him being 0-5. Go look at that defense and tell me who compares to who next year.

Our young guys on defense are playing well.

Zuniga has the most sacks in the country among freshmen
CeCe is living up to his hype
Clayton played well, Keivonnis Davis has played well
David Reese has played well
Chauncey Gardner has been great on special teams.

We're going to be fine. If only you bitchy phony fans would be patient.

It's pathetic that you set the benchmark at not losing to UK/Vandy. Fun fact WM was 7-1 against them and we looked no different in those games as Mac's first 4 games against them.

I'm surprised you haven't fallen into a deep pit of depression. There's no hope, no optimism, no positivity in your eyes. It's embarrassing to be part of the same fan base as you. You're a pathetic excuse for a fan.

And If you ever feel down and depressed about gator football always know there's the Tennessee board for you to talk to.

Maybe I'd like for a coach who's paid millions and who's been arrogant about his coaching prowess to actually recruit like he's at UF and not Stanford or NC State and actually show the ability to claim responsibility for our mistakes that keep happening instead of the idiotic nonsensical remarks like Ugly babies or dead fish. I really wish you Goebbels sunshine pumpers would drink bleach.

Read my post. It's certainly not all sunshine pumping. But it damn sure isn't being so incessantly negative that you can't see the clear and obvious strides made in the 1.5 years that Mac has been at the helm.

In his 1.5 years, Mac has:

-Won the East (and currently sits at 5-1, first in the East)
-Made the 121st ranked recruiting class in December 2014 a top 20 class on NSD his first year
-Signed the #1 JUCO RB, #1 Kicker, #2 WR, #1 DE, 3 additional 4 star WR's, signed freshmen who have contributed in Year one, got a class that finished ranked #12 in the country.
-Forced the building of an IPF and other football facility improvements
- 15-5 so far as a head coach (Urban was 16-4 for perspective), undefeated with his starting QB
-Flipped the offensive roster so that all of the contributors on offense are underclassmen that will be returning next year (and he's done this in only ONE FULL SEASON)

Things he needs to improve or do better:
-OL recruiting
-Personnel packages I.e give Scarlett 20 carries and Perine 12, please
-Beat FSU
-Find his quarterback of the future (I think we have. It's Artur Sitkowski. Look that kids up, he's a program changer)

I feel that the OL recruiting will only improve and that finding our quarterback is something that is coming very soon. We need to beat FSU this year. I can't explain the personnel packages. I wish he'd go with Scarlett as our feature back and Perine backing him up, but it is what it is.

Well, on the plus side, if McElwain tanks, you can say you called it I guess.

It's Artur Sitkowski.

' ''It would be huge for me,'' Sitkowski said of the potential offer. ''Florida is a state that I have family in. My aunt and grandmother live (in Tampa). My aunt is a season ticket holder. She’s a Gator fan, so I have a little soft spot for the Gators.'' '

Sitkowski said North Carolina, Ohio State and South Carolina are the schools sticking out to him right now, but he likes the idea of playing in the SEC.

“It is the best conference,” said Sitkowski, who plans to make his decision next spring. “On Saturday night, who’s playing? SEC teams. Alabama, Florida, South Carolina. They get all that exposure. A lot of players that get drafted come out of the SEC.”

He'd probably come right on in and play, to be honest. LDR will be gone for sure, and unless there's something amazing going on with Franks and Trask...

The east is garbage. Winning it isn't that big a deal as it you'd to be. Mark Thompson is not an SEC caliber player. He's also signed 40 3*s in 2.5 classes. Not signed an elite S/DT to date. We only have one commit on the OL and haven't had a commit going on two months. JF said those were coming anyway he just didn't want to give WM the credit with him being fired. I apologize to straws as it wasn't him but you that said Nusschamp was a brilliant Mind.

Mac's wins while in the SEC:

NMSU 3-9
ECU 5-7
UK 5-7
OM 10-3
UT 9-4
SCAR 3-9
Miz 5-7
UGA 10-3
Vu 4-8
FAU 3-9

57-66 overall win % = 46%
SEC opponents conference win %:

22-34= 39%

2016
Umass 1-5
NT 3-3
UK 3-3
VU 3-4
Miz 2-4
Overall record 12-19= 39% win %

SEC win% of wins: 27%
Now go look at Urbans wins

There's a good chance the SEC May go winless against the west and 2 teams may finish with winning records

I agree on the rest but we haven't got Arthur's LOI and he likes Miami.

500 yards of offense in two games this year in the SEC - first time since 2008.

The offense is progressing.

Slowly.
