Neal to the Draft

Neal has declared. Some think Maye will follow. This will leave us thin at safety but will help in recruiting.

I thought he would leave the second he was ranked the #2 safety in the draft.

This hurts. It isnt as easy to insert true frosh safety into lineup as it is a cornerback. Safety means just that....we're "safe" because they have the last line of defense to keep us from being scorched. Maye and Neal were both scorched by Bama in 2014 and they were sophs then.
Washington, Dawson and Harris will be counted on. If Maye leaves...add a loss to our overall record for 2016 and Im not kidding...losing both safetys would really hurt. I have to wonder why Kylan Johnson was our only safety recruit last year? Thats an oversight....and coaches misjudged the year that Maye/Neal might have and leave?

Hmm, not preparing for two safeties leaving at the end of the year is a lapse in oversight but not recruiting offensive linemen, wide receivers, running backs, quarterbacks and kickers isn't as egregious.
I'm not backin' down.

Still have a beastly DL, Jarrad Davis at LB, and 2 of the best corners in the country.
