I think Mizzou's coaches will try to get the ball out of his hands quick.

Means UF's LBs and DBs MUST tackle well.

they can't stay horizontal and do much. we're too fast for that, but yeah, tackling will be important.

Our defense should win this game going away...no way Mizzou will move the ball much. Lock is a star in the making but he is a ways off yet. The Gator defense will swarm hima true frosh QB in the SEC has tough sledding.

They run more horizontal passes than most teams. We need to react to that well and we should be fine.

I just hope we don't go another game without getting at least one call on the other team's OL.

UF rolls big time. I wouldn't be shocked if it was 55-10 UF.

Mizzou's defense is legit. UF won't score close to 50 unless Grier ascends to another level.

Mizzou is just not a good team. If we lose this, we might be in trouble mentally. We need to go in, settle down (not try to do too much in the beginning) and focus on the second half of the game. South Carolina is unbelievably bad and to only be up seven against that defense for so long is very telling.

I wanted to make an addendum and ask: Does anyone here think we got lucky in the way we played Ole Miss? They did have some unforced errors, but do you feel like that was the only way we win is if they had a bad night like Ole Miss vs. Bama?

Is it even worth thinking about?

I personally think we had some good luck, but I also think our players played very well, and were well prepared.

Kinda this.

I do expect some dropoff in their level of play this weekend, but I still think UF wins.

I'll say like 23-10 or something like that.

I'm going to go 31 - 17 again. I think they're going to pull all the tricks they have for the game.

31 - 17 or 31 - 24.

There is a good article out there that summarizes our worries about maybe being overrated:

READ THIS

I believe that UF isn't as good as that one game indicates. But they are certainly improving. Everything that could possibly have gone right against Ole Miss went right. UF had 2 or 3 opportunities that could have been turnovers that fell or bounced right into their hands.

Grier also played perfectly, and I'm sure the RS freshmen will make more mistakes down the road as he develops.

Edit - I will add though, even with this, because of Mizzou's issues on offense and UF's strength on defense, I think UF wins a tough hard fought game.

Our defense dominated them. The offense also played very well...no turnovers to their 4...end of story.

When picking score for Mizzou game ...please keep in mind that the defense can determine additional scores through turnovers and we could put 50 on them...not saying we will but it could happen. Offense isnt everything...as witness to their 120 yds of offense and putting 42 on our arse. Driskel had 4 turnovers....ugly.

Yep. It's gotten to the point where everything is just a constant flood of trolling -- no football talk whatsoever.

And as an addendum to other Gators here in this thread: I really, really hope our run offense can get started so Grier doesn't have to do too much.

I think the running game got better with Ivey coming back.

Taylor posted 100 yards against Tennessee and ran really well against Ole Miss.

I think Taylor gets 100 again this week.
