Since we had a very productive thread on analyzing OM last week, I thought we could do something similar this week about Missouri.
Supposedly Mauk is done, so I think we could probably just focus on Locks only game that he started for Missouri vs. South Carolina.
Probably can't do much film review until evening this week, but ill try to do my best.
If I find a good link to the replay, Ill post it here

I'll watch it today too. I posted some stats on the rant today - their offense has been bad.
Their defense is ridiculous though.

both Florida and Mizzou have stout Ds. I think this game will come down to who turns over the ball most.
Regardless, I expect an exciting game!

Regarding their defense: They have not played a highpowered offense yet. I posted before that they played something like the Arkansas State Tech Walgreen's Pickup League and an FCS their first two games, only beat the team by 7 (Arkansas State Tech whatever, not gonna look it up.)
Then they played Connecticut. Lost to Kentucky and beat a pretty abysmal South Carolina team.
Kentucky scored 3 touchdowns on that "vaunted" defense and couldn't score one against us.
They will probably post the replay on the SC game soon, and I'll see if I can't get a link as well.

Looking at the defense for Missouri I would agree with Straws they haven't played an elite offense and by all regards they haven't played even a good offense. Kentucky is OK but they are just cresting into the good category. South Carolina looks better with Nunez at the helm but they again are still just average. IMO we will have the best they have seen so far this year on both sides of the ball. But I wont count them out because they have had our number the last couple years and they are at home. I don't think their coaching is bad I think its actually pretty good which gives them a chance as well. It will be an interesting game.

And Kentucky drove it to them quite a few times. I'm not sure why we can't produce the same results with better talent at every position other than OL, and they played phenomenal against Ole Miss, who I think has a better line than Mizzou.
Doesn't mean we can't lose, obviously, but right now the numbers are all in our favor.......
Which, in the past, means we lose.

Muschamp is gone.
Ill probably have a look at their offense tonight and then watch the defense tomorrow.

That Lock kid can sling it but he is true frosh and only 1 start to his credit....that doesnt bode well for them. But defense wins games and I certainly think ours is the best in the country. If Grier has just a little time to throw, it will be over quickly...get them down 2 scores and our defense plants Lock into that turf of theirs.

on a lighter note, i think mizzou cashed in all their karma chips last year to win while only gaining around 120 yards of total offense.
that horseshite is over with.

USC QB Nunez needs to be coached up by Spurrier...he tucks the ball way too soon instead of keeping eyes downfield to throw. Its a shame that Spurrier is no longer really coaching and teaching at USC...he is mainly a figurehead and time is running out.
Looking at Mizzous roster there are four OL starters that are seniors and they may have to really rebuild that position in 2016. Hard to gauge how good of a defense Mizzou has when you play a team down sliding like USC.
But I know Mizzou is going to try to knock us off....they already have 1 SEC loss and another one would almost surely make repeating as east winner impossible. Should be an interesting game to watch. I'd like to put the beatdown on them...but they will be tough to subdue. If we get turnover breaks we could bust it open and put real heat on Lock.

I think Spurrier is trying anything at this point.
Mitch was their QB and he's out. Their defense is just terrible. Brandon Wilds is also hurt. Just a terrible South Carolina team right now.
Back to Mizzou.
Their play calling allows Lock to get the ball out really quick.
I don't know if our DL will have a field day against them like they have vs. Everyone else this season.

Our defense will stop their run and Lock will be opening it
UF 30-13
Going with the swag style again, but knowing inside that a few breaks their way could make it a tight game.

Really the only players on their offense that scare me are Hansbrough and their TE's.
I really don't know anything about their WRs at this point because Mauk had been just bad.

Which is what I've been saying. It's going to be hard to prepare for a Lock offense when all you have to go off of is Mauk's terrible performance this year and the last game against SCar when the coaches admitted that they were very conservative with the playbook.
