The Florida football team is losing two more juniors from its roster, one to the NFL draft and another for medical reasons.

UF running back Matt Jones has decided to leave school early for the NFL, multiple sources told The Sun on Monday, and offensive lineman Drew Sarvary announced his playing career has ended due to concussion symptoms.

RB is well stocked as long as we recruit one good power runner....but according to Zach..there are three juniors still considering leaving early: Antonio Morrison (LB) Jon Bullard (DE/DT)& DJ Humphries (OT)
Those are three players that would really hurt us in leaving. Cant figure out why we didn't recruit any LBs in our last class...although its tough to get top talent when you had a real haul at LB the year before. Bullard is very important on the DL and our defense would take a hit. We are already depth shy with experience at OL and cant afford any losses.

I don't know where these guys are getting there draft stock info. Tyler Moore and DJ Humphries underperformed this year. Morrison is a good player and had good year I can see him going in mid to late rounds similar to Jelani Jenkins and Bostic. Bullard and Jones had a decent years but they didn't stand out among other running backs or D-Lineman. Muschamp said himself if you are a first round pick go if not stay. I agree we are good on RB but need a bruiser.

We did remember Christian Miller (4 Star) flipped to Alabama on us. We offered 9 ILB's and 9 OLB's

Jones, right now, won't make it. He's powerful but he simply isn't that fast. How many times was he caught from behind? Kelvin Taylor has been outperforming him this year -- the dude is crazy to think he's going to do much.

And anyone on the OL needs to stay another year, they haven't been fantastic, some might argue that they've been substandard.

Bizarre how many juniors are leaving right now with no business leaving.

Straw....while I totally agree about juniors leaving early when they should stay, I do disagree about Jones...he is a prototype NFL RB with his build. He wont be drafted (if at all) until mid to late rounds....but I am confident he will stick with a team....will have to improve pass catching ability.

Bullard is better than most think...DL don't show up on replays much...he played DT/DE but is strong and has room to add 5-10 lbs to get him on roster in the pros. He should stay and improve his stock...but he could make a team. The NFL is a low paying job compared to hockey, NBA and baseball....unless you are a star and do commercials.

Lets hope we don't lose anymore....Savary was a loss due to medical condition...but we need OL badly...Humphries would struggle to make a team and would drive beer truck if not lucky.

Jones will probably get drafted late because he is a triple threat back, can run strong, can catch, and can block.

Sarvary is not a big loss, as he didn't contribute this year and we weren't sure if he could next year.

But bottom line, even with his subpar play, Humphries would be a loss, simply because UF's depth will be made up of RS FR and FR next year.

The only people with more than 1 year of experience remaining on the OL are:

Trip Thurman
DJ Humphries
Cam Dillard - hasn't really played
Rod Johnson
Antonio Riles - hasn't really played

David Sharpe and the rest of the 2014 class are going to have to step up BIG TIME.

On Bullard - 46 tackles, 7.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 11 QBH, 2 break ups - he will be a good pro. He could go now. I hope he comes back though. UF will need him.

Hasn't he had two surgeries on his knee? He's just not fast enough, he's strong and big enough, but he gets caught from behind way too many times where if we had a faster back he'd be in the end zone.

Putting your name in the draft to be evaluated does not equal leaving early. The process has changed a bit and it should help the athletes make better decisions overall.

I cannot imagine that Matt is going to like the feedback he gets from the NFL.

If they hire agent...they are done. If they are announcing now...they plan on leaving. Kids today just want some jingle jangle in their pockets.

They take risks on guys like Lattimore because that guy was a monster in the SEC.

Matt Jones has been...average at best. I wouldn't take a risk on him.

You also gotta remember that Jones ran into more 9 man boxes then any other rb in college football because UF had no threat of any passing attack. He will make a good 3rd down back in the NFL.

No explosive speed (barring a few plays), two knee surgeries, no ball security (six fumbles?), his stats aren't that great (although he did pad them against lesser talent).

He is not going to be a good prospect going into the draft. If he stayed one more year he would get a much, much better contract.

The knee surgeries are why he is not staying another year.

Pretty sure the NFL Scouts know this too, which is why he ain't gonna do much going early. At least if he put up numbers like Lattimore, he could get the big initial contract and get his degree.

Now he's gonna have to come back to get it, get a much smaller payout.

Maybe Adam Lane becomes the feature back next year?

I'm glad we're going to have new blood next year, and that's it. I hope the guys coming in are tough and ready to work.

I think it will be similiar to this year but with Taylor and Lane with Powell coming in as a change of pace kind of guy.

Even this year he was "decent", and that's at best. He has potential, but he definitely needed another year.

Hopefully, the opportunity to play for a coach who had a Heisman-winning running back when he was OC at his last job will help sway him. I bear him no ill will for going, nor do I think it will be disastrous for us. However, I think he is making a very poor decision to come out if he isn't going to get drafted in the first round, and I just don't see that happening.

For damn sure not a first round draft pick, but really this isn't a net loss for us. We have a pretty good stable of backs produced by Muschamp's tenure and really I always felt like Taylor was the more reliable back.

Matt Jones must have put four fumbles on the ground due to botched handoffs (that only occurred when he was in the game and for two different quarterbacks) and had so little breakaway speed aside from the Georgia game and lesser defenses.

I know he'll go, but I don't really feel bad about it at all -- except that he's making a bad decision.
