We all know Mac's recruiting has been average as UFs HC.
This post will show the # of guys who've either been productive in between or a bust. Each player will be assigned a grade of A-F. Injuries, criminal activity and being passed up will all factor in. Transfers are an automatic F. For instance AC81 was an A+ talent but given his lack of maturity and up and down games, he's a F. Jabari Zuniga would be a B+ given his low ranking but good production. Guys who've RS last year who havent had the chance to play get a C. The longer the payer has been here and lower the production, the worse the grade.

So you mean all these three star gems aren't solid gold? Man. That is surprising.

I remember page long debates about those and I was told recruiting stars didn't matter. I guess those posters were wrong.

I know they matter. That's what I was arguing. If you don't have 4-5*s you're in trouble.

Not gonna go through player by player and argue with you tonight (maybe tomorrow), because your grades are obviously flawed. There's no way a player that has won a game for Florida in his career (Callaway) is an F, no matter what his off the field problems have been. We could argue several players but I don't have the time or the will to defend this team right now.

But I also think it's way too soon to be giving out grades for a true freshman class. I love the production we've gotten from some of the true freshman, but 5 games into their career is far too early to be putting a grade on them.

Dude, just let it go. Hes a dumbass.

Notice he curved the grades to help fit his narrative

Gave a rotational DL about the same grade as Toney which in itself is a joke.

This is like borderline you're gonna send bombs in mailboxes type of post, man.

Your metric is also awful, and as usual only suits your narrative.

Hey man! Step off! He played for UF. So his football accumen is ten times that of yours...

But wait, how bout the opinion of Nick Saban? He said "Mac is great, I love him."

Ill take the opinion of lord Saban over any yahoo on a message board.

Ppl forget it was Macs offense that rolled over our number one Defense a few years back as Bama picked us apart. His offense at Colorado State was also a powerhouse. Yes id like to see us putting up 40 a game but with what players we have out now, its not happening. QB,RB,WRs... plus we lost Toney for the next game so expect more of the same.

No room for rational, reasonable conversations amongst Gator fans.

Someone must be fired and burned at the stake at the conclusion of every game.

You mean like Smart? Seems he is fine losing his Qb and starting a true freshman.

So anything else? Considering Del Rio was third string starting the year, that excuse is laughable.

Keep saying next year asswipe. It will always be next year to you delusional fuktards.

This is how I would objectively rank the recruits that Mac has brought in. I think it's fair and more representative of the teams actual performance and talent level, and not subject to the agenda you're attempting to set in the OP. We'd obviously like the number of A and B level recruits to outnumber C-F, but I think we're much closer to that now than we would be if you compare this to say, Muschamp's recruiting classes. Especially on offense.

There's still work to do but I think it's too soon- at the point we're currently at- to be calling for Mac's head. I say make some coaching staff adjustments this offseason, which is something he's done a good job at in previous offseasons, and let's see how the team looks going forward. I'm still looking for improvement as the season goes on for us this year.

Wow, one team out of the 3 you guys like blowing.

Again he only lost his QB

Let em lose Chubb, their wrs, half their depth and start a freshmen secondary then we can talk.

The replacement hasn't thrown for more than 125 years or more than 15 pass attempts in his career. They aren't doing what they're doing because of the quarterback. If we were doing what UGA is doing, there'd be Gator fans complaining that we don't throw the ball enough and the way we're playing is not sustainable.

I don't see the delusion. To me, delusion is expecting a team to go 12-0 and have a great offense without their best two WR's and best running back out due to suspension and injury, and the team's best defensive player out for the year with an injury.

Imagine the 2006 team without Percy Harvin and Dallas Baker, Deshaun Wynn, and Reggie Nelson. Would it be reasonable to expect Florida to win the national championship with that?

Smart has a five star laden program -- but I can guarantee you one thing: He loses Godwin, Michel, Chubb and Eason and his team looks different.

You see what happened to his team last year without Chubb alone?

Took a team with ten win seasons and who didn't finish third in the East in five seasons (aside from one) and turned them into an 8 win team and tied for second with Kentucky and Tennessee.

With a loss at home to Vanderbilt, m'boy.

So no, Smart isn't doing well with his Freshman quarterback, whose numbers are not better than Franks (they're shockingly similar).

He's doing well because he has two five star senior running backs and a five star receiver with a five star quarterback -- that he inherited from his predecesor. Aside from Fromm, those are all Richt players.

The senior laden defense (7) are from Richt. The other four juniors on his defense are from Richt. The one Sophomore that's starting is the only player on defense that's his.

McElwain was left the keys to a car that was crashed into a ditch, Kirby was left the keys to a car that, because it had a smudge, they fired the last driver.
