It is a better result than not winning the East. We could be Tennessee or Georgia losing to nerd schools. 3 losses so far in the season. Briefly in the playoff hunt. That is better than most predicted.
My opinion will change if UF mails it in against Bama or the bowl game.

What you guys don't get is that anybody could've won the east. And that's not really a good thing. We all equally suck in the east.

UF is clearly better than all but one team in the East. That team is losing its core group of talent and there is not much behind them.
Winning the East is better than losing to South Carolina and Vandy. Winning is better than losing. 3 losses (2 in SEC) is better than every team except Bama in the SEC. That is not equally sucking.

The expectation at Florida is to be in Atlanta playing for an opportunity to be in the National Championship. No matter what world you fricking delusional fairy land fans live in, this roster is not a group that can win a championship. So, the best thing we can do is go to the SEC Championship and try to spoil the party. I'd say these "down" years are pretty damn good. 10-2 and 9-3 with trips to Atlanta in the first two years under Mac and in what's widely considered "rebuilding" years is pretty damn good if you ask me.
I don't know if we can win, and I don't think we will, but to be there and have the opportunity is better than to not be there and not have the opportunity. Sometimes I think you assholes aren't even rooting for the Gators. I understand the frustration and negativity, but we're about to play for a conference championship. Can you imagine if at 8:00 on Saturday night we just did the impossible and won the SEC Championship over mighty Alabama? Be a fan, root for your team. You don't gotta be negative shitheads all the time.

You would think UF was 3-8 instead of 8-3 by the comments by some of the (and I use the term loosely) Gator fans on tRant. Some of them seem to think our program is Alabama right now and have no patience for a second year coach that, by the way, has gotten us to Atlanta 2 years in a row and that by the way, is the first time in history an SEC coach has done that in his first 2 years.

Y'all enjoy it when Florida loses because that means you can come back to this board and post "told ya so" shite. I understand criticism after losses. I criticize the staff too after bad games. But y'all take it to another level. When Florida loses a game and you come back and start a thread saying "I was right, I'm so glad we lost so I could be right!", that's where I have a problem. It's just stunning to me how much some "fans" here seem to enjoy Gator losses

Correct.
There is no "we" here to win the game. Get away from that and you'll see things more clearly. You don't have to think in terms of "we" in order to be a good fan. In fact, you'd be a lot happier if you abandoned that. We fans support the team. We want the team to win. We cheer at games. We also get to voice our opinions.
The team plays the game. The team practices for the game. We fans don't.
Do I want them to win? Of course. Will I cheer during the game? Of course. Can I honestly say they have a legitimate shot at winning? No.

The remaining category to consider is random luck. I don't see random luck overcoming all the other factors that weigh in Bama's favor. But I'm willing to listen to your case.

Wouldn't you rather be honest, pragmatic, and have a realistic appraisal of the situation while remaining optimistic of a favorable outcome? This is, after all, an event over which you have no control.
I recognize the folly of UF's offense this year. It is what it is. This is not a top tier team. It is laughable to think there was a legitimate shot at the playoffs. Hence my laughter. You don't make the playoffs or contend for elite level titles with an offense this bad.

Provide evidence please, particularly of my enjoyment. I've been at this board for two games. I trolled the shite out of LSU fans and even had some of them thinking I was actually Jeremy Foley.
